I think one of the things not being mentioned is the growth of the Alabama offensive line, along with Milroe. This offensive line is gigantic and are finally showing the ability to really take games over up front. Making Alabama drop back pass is a huge necessity for UM. Four of the olineman are 315+, witn 3 of them being 350+.

Bama has been playing one good half of football every week, and taking one half off. If they put together two full halfs, they are a scary team. UM hasn't played an offense that is very threatening, so it might take them a bit to get adjusted to Bama.

If we could only have a bowl game in the north against an SEC team, we’ll see fumbles all day. Michigan bowl games are always in warm climates going from 20-30 degrees to 70-90 degrees away games.

It will be a close game in the first half. Before the Auburn game, I would have said Michigan running game would give Alabama problems. After Auburn torched Bama on the ground, Saban will have the Alabama defense ready for that. I just don't think that Michigan is going to be able to contain Milroe all game. Alabama will have, at least, one defensive turnover. I've got Bama winning 24-13.

Something a little concerning is that Michigan has faced 7 teams ranked 100+ in scoring offense. Their defensive numbers are extremely inflated by that. They could absolutely still be elite, but potentially more vulnerable in areas than people think. They also haven't faced anyone remotely close to Milroe's skillset.

Tough call for sure. Michigan's defensive line uses a lot of movement like twists, stunts, ect the Alabama really hasn't seen. So they need to use a minimal for man rush,, and mix up some glitches along with his own and man coverage. Keep pressure on Milroe. This game is really going to come down to Harbuagh if he prepared the team or not, and if they are willing to make adjustments. His track record in the last couple years has proven that he hasn't.

It's going to be a great game. Alabama is like the reigning heavyweight champion due to its success over the past 20 years. Michigan hasn't been successful in the last two years in spite of having very good teams. If Michigan is to win, it will have to "take it to the champ"! Everything is going to be predicated on how the Michigan offensive line plays. If Michigan can run the ball, mix up run/pass and control the clock, then they have a very good chance. If they can't do this, then Michigan is going to be in deep trouble and quickly. Alabama has an explosive offense.

Nobody mentioning what happened last year? Michigan could not beat TCU who then lost by 58 to Georgia. That is revealing in my opinion because it shows how much better the SEC is. TCU lost to Kansas state but Michigan could not take them? With the one exception of the loss to Ohio State in 2014 Bama has completely owned the Big Ten and Notre Dame in the Saban era. I think the type of competition both teams have played this year. Michigan has mostly played average to below average teams. Bama has played more average or slightly above average teams. This is the difference and main factor who wins.

Michigan fan. Bama has the advantage on defense due to playing 6 offenses better than OSU. Michigan has a slight edge on offense due to Corum and the tight ends but it’s basically even due to Milroe and the qb run. Whoever wins the rushing battle namely with qb runs, wins the turnover battle, and plays the cleaner game will win(obvious I know). Reality is, SEC speed exists whether Michigan fans wanna admit it or not, and as an example, look at Jordan Davis running down Corum from behind 2 years ago. While yes, I think this game is closer than some Bama fans are making it out to be, I understand why they feel the way they do. We haven’t proven shit it the playoffs and Bama is the standard. Mad respect to you all and no ill will towards you. This game can go either way. In order to win, Michigan needs to utilize play action to the tight ends up the seams with 12 and 13 personnel. Everyone knows Michigan wants to run the ball. Play action early and often is your best chance to win against this tough defense. And JJ needs to be a factor in the run game. On defense, have to contain Milroe. You let him run/buy time and carve you up deep, this game could get ugly. For Bama, yall need to play the run smartly. Don’t stack the box too much because it will look like 2022 against OSU if you try too much to shut down the run. Force JJ to throw the ball consistently and get pressure on him and get home. On offense, get Milroe running early and test our db’s early and often. Make them prove they can hang with you. Milroe has to be sound on short/intermediate passes. Use pre snap motion a lot. Both offenses need to sustain drives to keep their defense fresh. If Michigan executes their gameplan smartly, I’ll say 24-20 Michigan. If Bama plays a clean game I’ll say 31-24 Bama
