I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for...

I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes..

Lake Martin, over 800 miles of shoreline if you can believe it. I hate the style of this home but I love the lot. I would have to gut this place and make it more like a real lake house. I love Alabama. The haters don't realize that people jet in from all over the country to stay in their million dollar lake homes on Lake Martin, it is that nice. It is literally the Malibu of Lakes. Plus you're so close to Mobile and the beaches. It's only a 3.5 hour drive from Lake Martin to the resorts in Miramar Beach, Florida.

I agree 100% with the positive feedback on Alabama. These haters are sickening! They kill me stereotyping a state. Alabama is way bigger and above then what they think. Warren Buffet just drop $800 million on real estate in Alabama investment. The rich and developers don't just dtop that kinda money unless they do there homework on everything about the state. Learn from them and tell you stuff you don't even know.COPY THAT!! Alabama brings 8 million a yr. Of tourism to the beaches, they Got NASA , MARDI GRAS , Carnival Cruise, Honda, Mercedes, HYUNDAI the list goes. Get a clue HATERS

All that money and look at at how bad the grass is. I would expect really plush grass.... But no. They definitely need to address that issue. I'm not even a yard kind of guy and that was the 1st thing I saw.

We have a motto down here in Alabama (often proudly called "The Heart of Dixie,"). It's "well, at least we're not Mississippi." A final fact. Alabama takes $2.17 from the Federal government for every $1 it puts in. That is the definition of a welfare state. Roll Tide.

Alabama is awesome! I've been all over and back here and I moved here to raise my family. It's hilarious that the USA says Bama is racist as hell. But nope, everyone is kind and gets along very well. I did some work on this house for him back in the day. The tile & stone company I worked for had just done his Health South headquarters in Hoover AL. I knew him from playing in bands in B'ham. He played in country and R&R cover bands. He later put out his own original music.This was before he and his business partner got rich, then got in all kinds of trouble. He was really a cool dude back then, and he was still cool to me after he got rich. He remembered me from the music scene when I was the foreman in charge of the custom stone being installed in his personal bathroom at the HS HQ. He asked me to the lake house later to do some remodeling. He let me and my then girlfriend, now wife, stay there for several weeks while I did the work. It was awesome!
