There is truly something about this speech that finds my soul and allows me to understand and figure out the experiences of my life, and how to grow in a positive way from those experiences anyways, anyone reading this not sure if anyone will read this, but this is under my daughters account so I just felt like I really wanted to express. I'm paraphrasing but I think this might be the most powerful and wonderfully uselsess bit that I sought to understand: Think of the ego as a thief looting a very tall building. When the cops arrive (self reflection) the thief will move up a floor. The cops, having found no thief on the main floor will also move up a floor. So on and so forth does the ego disguise itself as a higher form of consciousness, until we reach the roof. The theif has nowhere to run and the police are bound to catch up... what now? In order to destroy your ego you must hate yourself (without self deleting) for long enough to realize that the thing you hate doesn’t actually exist. Then everything just kind of falls away. Don’t be afraid to let go, the universe will catch you.
