Great review of a very nice aircraft. Agree with you on pricing but that said it is very much along the lines of eduards limited editions with those markings. It was the last present i had from my dear mum who passed away 2 yrs ago so i have been very reluctant to start what was a present in case i totally mess it up. Now you gave shown its still available think i will look for another kit that i can put together. Love your updates, really interesting.

The high price, is because Eduard take advance of the aircrafts on decals sheet, because all five belongs to known aces pilots!!

I'm not familiar with this channel. Frankly, I'd take "old" Eduard over their newest sprues with grossly overscale stitching and rib detail. I have the first Eduard Dv kit (8013) dating way back to 1996 and looked at it while watching this review. The part layout on the sprues are different yet the parts themselves actually look quite surprisingly similar in detail. The main exception is the addition of plastic lumps for radiator and other components that were only supplied as photoetch on the first issue before 'Weekend' issues were a thing. The 1996 kit has a well detailed all-metal engine and photoetch cabanes I find easier to adjust than plastic. So in short, the newer kit has more work to do carving and modifying to make as good a model as the older '96 version out of the box. So much for New = Better! There has been a longstanding issue regarding the length of the landing gear with all the Eduard Dv issues. Many consider them 1.2-1.5 mm too short making the plane sit short.
