I just checked my bank account. It's empty. If I had it I couldn't sell that Swift CD fast enough. 3-4 years ago I sold a promo disc that she appeared on. Plain text. No photos. 2-3 slight variations of 1 song and a Call Out. Sold for $100...which given the plainness of the presentation really surprised me.

Pet Sounds had a HUGE influence on In The Court Of The Crimson King and D'yer M'aker

I bought my vinyl in the early 1970's at a record store called Hotter Than Mother's Music in northwest suburban Chicago. I remember seeing that King Crimson album every time I stopped in there; always intrigued about what it might sound like, but I could never pull the trigger and lay down the $4.99 for it. One of my buddies' frat house at college had a wall-size painting of it! Watched a Beach Boys special on CBS Sunday and heard 'Pet Sounds' called a 'masterpiece'. Overrated indeed. How did that happen? Thanks Robert, always entertaining.

Dig you, cause we have similar taste. My Brother owned that Court of the Crimson King scream cover album- I was just perplexed when I listened to it- 30 years later maybe I will give them another shot ( don’t mind Prog)

I remember seeing a photo back in the early 80s and someone painted the face of that King Crimson album on their wall. Looked even more frightening as a photo, so I'd hate to see it in real life. Unless it was some photo trick you can do with the album cover.

Sorry Robert, I just have to make a second comment since I made the first one before the video finished. I came across a KZfaq documentary on Betty Davis. I'd never heard of her before a few months ago. It made me start looking for some of her music. I think it was that 1971 or maybe it was 1973 album that came out that they were playing some of the song samples off of and it was a really awesome funk/rock/I don't know what to call it music they were sampling. She seems like a really cool chick before she just vamoose disappeared. Thanks to the ever famous for ruining things record labels, they just pushed her to the limit of getting out of music because she wouldn't conform to their trying to make her what they wanted her to be. I've looked at a few LPs on Discogs but I've looked more in my local record stores for any of her albums. I had to do a little background internet research on her and unfortunately she passed away just a few years ago. But I really do want to find some of her late '60s and early '70s albums and check those out. I don't see how she didn't have a bigger following or make it bigger other than the fact she eventually left the business and disappeared Thanks to the record labels trying to control another artist. I bought the King Crimson record in the late 80's thinking it was some sort of old glam, grungy, prog-thrash band. What I got was . . . What the eff is this Frank Zappa worshipping, Moody Blues acoustic wank fest?! I do like that record after all these years though. Love the info on the Led Zeppelin song; I will never say it wrong again. Do you pronounce Nirvana, Nirvana or Nirvana? Arista I actually knew. Reprise is another one. Cheers and keep them coming!

I`ve watched quite a few of your videos and heard you sometimes mention songs with unintelligent lyrics. I don`t really hear anyone else in the V.C mention lyrics. Personally i find a lot of songs that could be excellent are ruined by poor lyrics and i thought it would be interesting to get your take on songs with intelligent lyrics. Cheers from England.

They have to do these dummy album covers to promote their albums so you will buy them.I wait till word of mouth comes out before I buy them.Dont ever assume because the last one was good,the follow up one will be just as good.I have made that mistake a few times.
