Theory: Alec Heard a glass break in the apartment above him and met Annabelle.. (Must of been the wind) Went to college (I built a friend) Then met Annabelle again He started taking her to the water fountain And dating? (Water fountain)Then later Found out she liked somebody else who would be (Gabriel) So Tried doing her homework to get her to like him again Unfortunately it wasn't enough. ( Annabelle's Homework) then he tried again, (If I killed someone for you) Later she ended up liking him again. Soon after They graduated she told him she didn't like him, but he didn't want to accept it. (Let me down slowly) Finally they broke up (The book of you and I) Tell me if you liked it. I might be too late to say this but your fallout should've never disrupted your friendship. Just cause your ex is no longer your bf or gf you two should at least still stay friends. I know that it might be hard for people to stay friends with an ex and, this is just my opinion, but if I broke up with my special person then I would at least know that they had the courage to end it when their love was gone instead of dragging on this loveless relationship with me. I hope you have moved on by now. :)

I still can not understand why I cry everytime I listen to this song. I have yet to experience "a heartbreak", or any other rpainful experience, so I can not say that I somehow relate to the lyrics he sings, but the way he sing and the thoughts that he must have had while writing these beautiful lyrics... The feelings he must have felt... For some unknown reason, it just breaks my heart. (Sorry if I am being weird or perhaps even annoying.)

if you ever get into a relationship make sure to always give attentions and care about him/her, you have your entire life to think about yourself so you might also dedicate him/her your time. heartbreak is the painful price we must pay for living such good moments with our beloved ones so at some point make sure you dont find yourself in a sorrowful debt.

i completely agree like i've never dated anyone or anything but ig i've had heartbreaks if you count best friends being mad at you and leaving you for other ppl then you get back in contact and all the can talk about is not eating and stuff and you finally feel like you're in a good place but then they start and you're back to where you tried so hard to get out of...then they block you bc you left a stupid little group chat and they talk about you to your crush

Alec is my favourite singer now and will always be ✨. The reasons are 1)He is a humble and a hard working person. 2)His voice is innocent. 3)His music is great, pleasant to hear and always with different good messages for the audience around the world. 4) Unlike other singers he doesn't chase for fame and money. 5) He's clean with no piercing and tattoos. 6)He is underated, he deserves more love and support..

It broke my heart to find out that you just made me believe you love me when the truth was you don't love me anymore to avoid hurting me. But you know what? You just made it a lot worse and painful. Now you're finding someone new while we're still talking. I know, I know we talked this out. We decided to be just friends. But you know what hurts? I just can't see you as a friend. You will always have my heart. I will still fall inlove with you everytime I see you. Your smile is still my favourite. I still see the universe whenever I look into your eyes. That's wow.. I'm going through the same thing right now. In the beginning of quarentine I lost access to my phone for 8 months and that was the only source of communication I had with my lover. We loved eachother so much and we were inseperable, though we were never able to meet in person we made sure it was possible that we could spend as much time as we can together on the phone.. We did everything together, play games, watch movies, have sleepover calls, or break a night and listen to music/talk till 6am. Due to me loosing me phone for 8 months I lost my lover. We both couldn't even IMAGINE us being apart or anything happening to our relationship. Those entire 8 months were the most hardest days of my life. Every day I cried and cried and I was miserable without him. I stopped eating, I was worried sick since I was apart of his happiness, I overthank if when I'd come back- if he'd hate me, I overthank a lot.. I finally got back in touch with him, I had stood loyal those entire 8 months cause I had strong faith that we'd meet again. I even had dreams of him coming back 2 weeks prior to seeing him again. When we reconnected I was so so so happy, I cried tears of joy, a huge weight was lifted off my back.. I didn't even worry about him finding somebody else. I always knew he'd wait for me no matter how long. But it turns out I was wrong. It's not because he was a bad person but because he got so mentally hurt by me vanishing that he forced me out of his head throughout those months and it was very hard on him as well as it was for me. He told me he no longer had feelings for me but still cared, what was even worse was that throughout this time someone had been comforting him while he was mourning and they ended up in a relationship. That absolutely broke my heart into pieces. I even went numb again. But I couldn't be mad at him, I knew he was hurting.. I love him too much to even get mad at him for doing that. He's still an amazing person. I relate to the fact of not being able to tell him that I love him. It's so damn hard to be his friend. I'm so greatful to even be speaking to him but I'm so attached and glued to the thought of what we once were and what I once was too him. I'm no longer as important.. He's moved on but I haven't. It seems like just yesterday I was able to tell him I loved him every night before he went to sleep, that I admired him for all he does for me and for others, and how much I truly care. It's hard to not tell him he's so adorable when he smiles and laughs. I fall in love with him each and every time I try to move on, I love everything about him. It's so damn difficult.. I 100% support his emotions, but it's so so so hard for me. 8 months ago we'd talk everyday, we'd always tell eachother how much we love eachother, he'd always let me win when it came to video games, he'd always make me cute animations, and defend me no matter what. I had his back, and he had mine. He'd do so many things just to make me happy even when I'd beg him to not do it but he did it cause he cared.. he really loved me. I miss feeling so important to my love.. I used to be his stars, his sun, his world. And now I'm just a friend who still deeply loves him and misses him. We even talked about meeting eachother and having our own home together with all these "animal children".. It's crazy how much things can change in 8 months. I feel you, 100%

"There were so many chapters we never got to write" while the whole song hits way too close to home for me, this line in particular got me. I always fantasized about spending my whole life with her. Marriage, a home, a family, growing old together, having each other in our last thoughts, and spending the rest of the afterlife together (if there is one). Then suddenly she told me she lost feelings, and now I'm no longer in contact with her. And the worst part? It was all my fault. I think about her everyday and get the urge to curl in a ball and cry in bed, regretting my decisions while we were together. If anyone is also going through or went through a tough breakup like I am, just know you're not alone, man. There are probably so many people out there that care about you more than you think, whether that'd be family, friends, therapists, lots of people that can be capable of liking you. Just cuz you had this moment where someone didn't love you anymore, it doesn't mean that everyone else will leave you too. Please don't let yourself go to waste like I did. Keep taking care of yourself, shower at least twice a week, brush your teeth everyday, continue working hard in school/your job, and don't give up hope. There are over 8 billion people on this world, another one is bound to love you, so don't quit just yet. And if things seem to get too hard for you to handle alone, then please don't keep your feelings to yourself. There will probably be people around to help you during these hard times. There's no shame or harm in asking for help from others. Take care, y'all ❤

In addition, i didn't have strong feelings to this friend but he did but i did stay distant because what he did wasn't rlly normal for friends to do. This reminds me of someone I used to love... As a writer, I tend to write everything down... And I was really in love with him, so sometimes I'd just watch him and write a bunch of short stories... He was in love with me, and so one day he wanted to write our book together. He was writing for the first time so I taught him step by step to write his first chapter while I'd just improvise what he wrote... And then one day he fell in love with someone else... His ex... He told me he was never really in love with me, but was just trying to forget her... And so he tore up our book that I had to stay up just improvising what he wrote... I honestly the last few nights I've felt like I'm broken or something. I'm used to being sad and having a broken heart. It's like I'm used to the knives in my back. I just feel like I'm just a useless waste of space... or at least that is what my mother says. I am so glad that people can make connections through these songs. I have an ex and I liked him for him. They say that I'm young, but I really do feel that I loved him. Our story ended because his parents thought I was a phsyco because I have depression. Either way, I'll never forget him.

This song puts into words of how I felt exactly (and still feel) when the girl of my dreams left me. It's hard to watch someone slowly drift away and lose their feelings for you. Alec is the most heartfelt songwriter that I have ever heard and his music helps me through the "tough times". Being vulnerable is the hardest thing to do no matter who you are. I commend Alec for sharing his pain when, most artists will never cover that subject. You're awesome man, keep up the great work!!! P.S Congratulations on your tour, hope others may enjoy your gift that you've brought to music 😉
