What a great job they did, and how fun it is to listen to this. I remember first hearing it in 1981. Loved it then, and now.

The Beatles Medley (as I call it) was a labor of love for that lovable Dutchman Jaap Eggermont. I didn’t know that he was a member of the rock band Golden Earring. Bas Muys sang as John Lennon, Hans Vermulen sang as Paul McCartney, and Okkie Huijsdens sang as George Harrison. The female singer was Jody Pijper. A fantastic achievement in 1981 and in 2023. Enjoyable!

I remember this playing on the fairground in the early 80s. Amazing then and still amazing on 2024..🎉

I remember this album coming out in 1981, I still have it and listen to it regularly. I, like a lot of Beatles fans at the time, thought this was the Beatles... a superb mix and so true to the originals.

This is by far the best version of the Beatles medley that i have heard, which i did on an old tape in 2014. Had to throw that tape away to prepare for a house move, and thought i'd never hear this again, but am glad it's on KZfaq.
