Aleksey Igorevich Verbov (Russian: Алексей Игоревич Вербов, born 31 January 1982) is a Russian volleyball player, a member of Russia men's national volleyball team and Russian club Zenit Kazan.
With the Russian men's national team, he won the gold medal at the 2013 Men's European Volleyball Championship played in Denmark and Poland. He won the award as Best Libero in the tournament. He also won the bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.
He played with Lokomotiv Belgorod winning the bronze medal at the 2005-06 CEV Champions League; he won the award "Best Libero" also in this tournament

I always watch these videos before any of my club or high school games (I'm a setter for high school and libero for club) cuz they get me pumped up and make me feel better about my height. Try to be an all-round setter and your below 5 foot. It sucks

I wanna play Libero. Does anyone have any tips/advice/instructions for receiving a spike? Also I’m completely new to volleyball but I have very good reflexes and I move fast. (Atleast that’s what people tell me) I’m a soccer player but I wanna learn volleyball and play as Libero for college level. Any tips are very much appreciated! When I play and receive a ball, it usually goes sideways or way too high in the air.

The best thing my volleyball coach ever told me that helped my passing was to keep your arms still the moment the ball impacts your arms. This eliminates any extra room for error. And just try your best to make sure the ball contacts both your arms evenly. Good luck
