All plants have fillings they let you know when they’re not happy, that’s when you need to do something check the drainage, check soil, or she maybe get to much sun or not enough , she may be hungry and needs nutrients, or repot, needs more water or less thank you have a very nice evening Maria’s

I live in tennessee and have brought my desert roses in for winter.i think some of them are getting dehydrated. the leaves are falling on all of them. should i give the soft ones some water?

I keep mine in a greenhouse. Seems happy year round. But do I need to give them a dormant period. If so how do I do that. It’s been blooming twice a year.

Hi Maria! How are you my friend? Should I be using your old soil mix of 60% mulch & 40% compost or your new soil mix? I brought my Desert Rose inside yesterday. My friend all depends in you temperature if you have a list 2 more months of temperature of 50 0r high it ok otherwise best to wait until the beginning of spring 2024 i don’t remember where you located

@@MariasgardenGarden I do not repot my Desert Rose until the spring. I just wanted to know what soil mix to use. Seedlings are seed starter and perlite mix. Under 2 year old is Soil Conditioner, Just Choir, perlite and compost. Over 2 years old, mulch and compost. I checked Lowe’s and they do not have either Soil Conditioner or Just Coir. Can I use 50% mulch and 50% compost for under 2 year old and 60%/40% for older than 2 years old? The Dollhouse is in East Stroudsburg, PA. Thanks! 😎

Hey Maria my Desert Rose has lost most of its leaves and I’m assuming it’s because of the weather change. I live in Sarasota. Do you believe everything is normal and that it should loosing leaves right now because of the cooler weather?

My dessert rose stem never got very hard after I planted it, year later, still soft. Do I start over. Still has leaves.

Ok you plant is holding to much water and not drying fast wrong soil or not enough sun all depend in were you located, most likely wrong soil and to much water adenium love to be watered to time a week in top of soil 2 to 3 inches than socket in water and take to long for the soil to dry, maybe sure she’s not getting water from sprinkling system

No, it’s small, and I don’t water it, I was told too much water makes it soft. It’s in catus soil. Once it’s too soft trunk should I toss it?
