Yeah, the tick-tick-tick sound is ok for practicing your timing (like a metronome) but the bell sound is very annoying to me as mentioned below already. After awhile, you'd want to ditch the ticking sound as well once it becomes second nature.

Save your money folks! I've had this for less than a year and the snare pad has a shortage in it. I hit it once and it's as if I've hit it a million times. I switched it out and replaced it with the low tom- its not as bad now. The Hihat pad is also starting to loose its sensitivity. The rubber started peeling not long after I had it- which for the cymbals, i guess its understandable.There is a screw that keeps the ride and crash cymbals in place and ever so often- they loosen and eventually fly out as I'm hitting the cymbals, which sends the cymbal spinning around. The bass and Hihat pedals came apart the first few days that I had it- they are now secured with masking tape. Not to mention-it came without a power cord to actually play the thing- luckily I had one laying around my house that fit. I use it as a practice kit but, I dont recommend it for experienced drummers. Save up your money for a great kit, don't settle for this one. Definitely not worth 300 bucks. Not even sure if I can sell it because, the little modifications I had to make to it makes it look make-shift.

Kacey Monger No, it doesn't. Also, don't listen to these haters, this drum kit is fine. Especially for beginners.

This drum kit is a joke. Seriously. Once they made awesome kits like the DMPro, the DM10 or even the vintage D4. Now they just make crappy Medeli rebrands, and Rockband kits.
@damiengreen2810 жыл бұрын
nope they still make awesome kits, this one isn't supposed to be awesome, its supposed to be cheap.
@AlexandreBatalha_Sharkuel10 жыл бұрын
Oh they make awesome kits? Aside the DM10 and the DM8 (most recent models that are from 2011), what did they come up in recent years? Alesis DM7 that is a rebranded HXM e-drum. The Dm7x, a rebranded Medelli kit. And so on. Only the DM10 and the DM8 is hardware/software made by Alesis, and see how they came up. They are both reliable modules with some great quality/price ratio. Now it is like they almost gave up on delivering their own tecnology, and start to sell kits from other brands. Same goes with Ddrum. Now they have the ever elusive DMDock, that is coming soon since 3 years ago when it was anounced on Winter NAMM 2011. Oh well... They aspired to be great, but the internal shifts in management on their drum department made clear that they aren't interested in inovation. The proof is the DM10 that has a lot of potential (even to overthrow Roland), but the out of the box fresh kits promissed and updates were cut short.
@damiengreen2810 жыл бұрын
they still make dm8 and dm10, therefore they still make awesome kits. this thing cost £200 of course it isn't as good as kits that cost more than twice as much.
@AlexandreBatalha_Sharkuel10 жыл бұрын
of course they make them, but they don't improve them like they stated initially in wich is a shame, really. I have a DM10 and i love my kit, but the "not invented here" sindrome they have gets on my nerves. Alesis could with ease dominate the mid-range market, but they prefer to be the underdogs, allways.
@AlexandreBatalha_Sharkuel10 жыл бұрын
Because it is making Alesis make dumb products like these more often, instead of making developments over their flagship models which people like me payed for with the promisse of full support and updates, and the only "update" we ever did saw were some minor trigger updates and the Bluejay Soundset that is incomplete. That's why.
