baresi-costacurta-maldini-nesta-cannavaro.... it's been wonderful to see this constant stream of top of the line centrebacks in gli azzuri, such grace and leadership in all of these legends.. but who will take over?? chiellini ok, i hate his personality but he's solid, can never match nestas elegance or maldinis precense.. all teams in serie a must bring young defenders through again like they used to.. cannavaro doesn't have long left in gli azzurri..

Probably the best defender of all time beside of puyol, maldini and baresi. Nesta's tackles where so excellent. defenders now days like pepe, pique and ramos are so crap.

Qualcuno dice Terrry altri Puyol,ma ragazzi avete mai giocato a pallone?no a parte gli scherzi per quanto mi Riguarda Nesta è stato il miglior difensore che il mondo abbia mai prodotto,una scivolata ed un tempo d'intervento pazzesco,Terry e Puyol hanno un'altra struttura fisica,meno agilità,meno esplosività, meno velocità di Nesta,quando lo vedevo giocare con la Lazio è sempre stato il difensore per eccellenza che desideravo per la mia squadra, anche più di Cannavaro,immaginate quando l'ho visto in rossonero, sono una persona fortemente convinta che una Squadra che ha ambizioni a livello champions,debba avere almeno due centrali forti ed un terzino che spinge,quando ho visto che razza di squadra stava venendo fuori ero convinto che avremmo riconquistato un'altra coppa,non mi sbagliavo e Sandro si è confermato per quello che era, ovvero il più grande centrale che abbia mai visto giocare,che abbina un fisico quasi da nero per il livello prestazionale, ad una precisione chirurgica negli interventi.

simply the best, yeah... 2001-02 season, roman derby, lazio - Roma 1-5. Montella, who Nesta was defending against, scored 4 goals... ))) Also Delvecchio in every match Roma have played against neighbours was just f*cking that Nesta... While Marco wasnt the best striker at all...
