I used to go against this law of power until I realized the value behind following it. It had ruined my reputation and turned people against me because I would express my true thoughts and opinions. Keep you true thoughts for those who are on the same level as you or people who will not judge you regardless of what you believe. As for strangers and acquaintances, exercise this law of power heavily. This law of power works in unison with law of power of saying less than necessary!
@True38

Me too. Although I always maintain a good public reputation, I've never hesitated to speak my mind and voice my opinions freely because I'm quite fearless that way. Being authentic and honest doesn't help either in that regard but at least you have major respect for yourself and so do others whether they like it or not because most people don't have the luxury to speak their mind freely or doing what's right. They much rather just follow the crowd and accept everything, even though they know it's wrong, as long as they get theirs. In either case, I've published a lot of articles with often sensitive subjects and not cared one bit what other people thought about it. And yes, people think "you're weird" and an outsider, but in reality, they are just terrified about what other people think and would not dare making such bold moves themselves. To me, that is no way to live no matter what. I've been there in the past, and being a slave to other people's minds just makes you a walking, boring zombie. To be a Mastermind, to express your thoughts and views, to be authentic, and to stand up for what you know is right is a much better way to live imo. When it's all said and done, it is your CHARACTER that means everything, not how much power, money, or influence you have. If you lose your character and integrity, it does not matter what you say or do, you have lost your ways and there's no turning back. So take this law with a grain of salt because, at the end of the day, nobody really cares anyway unless it is in their self-interest. For example, there's a clear difference between someone who speaks their mind and who is in a position of power than someone who is not. The first guy can often get away with it, the second guy not so much.

Most people don't really understand this law, it's not about being authentic and strong minded. It's about Power if you are not striving for power then do what you want because there is only a few people that can attain power in a culture, organization or Religion without pretty much making people think you believe what they believe. For example Donald Trump literally took over the Republican party by pretending to be like them, they are many more examples. If you authentic and strong minded great but that doesn't necessarily lead to Power🤷🏿‍♂️

This is one of the Laws I come back to the most and also one of the Laws I despise the most because I'd rather NOT give a shit about what other people think or being dependent too much on their approval to get anywhere. Because contrary to this law I feel much more powerful going against the flock than joining them. Joining the flock, and especially in my poor-minded country means to lower your greatness and abilities such in a way that you are not "offending", "scaring" or making anyone jelaous. It's the coward way of life imo. The only way to truly "beat" this law is to be excellent in whatever field you choose and then join an organization and people who think like you, work like you and shine like you. To focus all of your energy and strengths on one particular thing and create an inner circle of trust and co-dependence is the best thing you can do imo.

I found your comments about veganism interesting. I have been vegan for 10 years now and usually I keep it to myself. However there are times when you have to mention it. Like in jobs I've worked at, explaining that you use almond milk in your coffee, which raises questions or if they order food like pizzas to the office, you have to explain why you don't want any. I have always done a good job at work so people find it hard to bash me for the quality of my work. However, being vegan makes me an easy target and attracts the office bully types like a magnet. That's why I am interested in these books, so I can learn to manage situations better. It is tricky to blend in though.
@AlexanderEmmanual
@AlexanderEmmanual 5 жыл бұрын
You sound like your mostly managing it well. The stereotypes around 'veganism' have never been worse. Associating yourself with such a group brings so much emotion and ignorance among many I wouldn't even blame people like yourself if they lied to save face.

That's actually very clever. It all comes down to self-interest anyway whether you blend in or not. People will flock to you if you have all the resources no matter what your appearance is, and they will flee you as soon as you hit the bottom. That's the thing called life. We depend on others for survival and survival only.
