I think that what people really mean when they say that Sasha has no artistry is that she is simply not this little fairy-like pretty skater with a longing and sad face that some people would prefer. She is strong and athletic and charismatic and different from your average skater. I feel like that's something that people still look down on when it comes to female skaters. People tend to mistake something not catering to their personal preference for it being bad. It doesn't say anywhere in the rule book that you're allowed to use just classical music, for example.

I liked her short programm much better than her free, because it's a lot more artistic. The free programm is just her skating around to gain speed for her quads with barely any choreography. I don't blame her personally as I definitely think they favored Anna and gave her an artistically better programm. Tbh I think most of the eteri girls have pretty cookie cutter choreography except Kostornaia.

Trashcan't they all have the same choreographer and I’m pretty sure Anna has been with him since forever so I would make sense to him favoring her but honestly he’s a mediocre choreographer anyways and all the girls could do much better with a new coach and choreographer. Sure they might not jump as many quads maybe even loose some but they’ll develop healthier techniques that will provide a longevity to their career like how yuzuru hanyus coach brain orswell has coached many champions over many Olympics consistently.

Her presence is super strong and sharp. She is indeed artistic. But not in an stereotypical type of way. She’s unique

That's the thing. You can be artistic even you don't dance to the typical classic music. People are not calling her non-artistic because of that. But because she is not very musical and danceable. Look Tessa Virtue- she is not "artistic" in the stereotypical type of way that you are talking about. But she still is on fire

Watching this compared to the free skate, there is a lot more expression in her face and body movements tailored to the music and persona of the performance. In the free skate her movements and face didn't match the song as well. I just watched Anna's and in that section she used her entire body to match the music and it makes a huge difference. I think Alexandra's short is better than her free skate in that sense.

3:07 love that part♥️💃suddenly going opposite to her sliding momentum and the step sequence that follows which leads to the spin as well, pretty creative choreography and musical interpretation, may seem like a minor detail, but these things add up to create an overall impression of the whole programme imo.

Can't say enough how much I love this program. Love the step sequence, love transition in and out. I think it's her best program and Sasha performed it best here at the Olympics. Besides the fall on 3A, she nailed every element as she took time and lingered where and when it's needed. I wish she would consider improving her skating skills and artistry though because it shows here that she can do it. That'll contribute greatly to her PCs.

@@OSHA19 если вы смотрели технику, то они были с ошибками. Лучше откатать проще программу, но чисто, чем всю программу смотеть 5 топорных квадов, и мизер связок.

Finally I watched Trusova’s attempt on triple axel and although she did not land it on this important occasion but I can tell she landed enough times during her training. From the artistic standpoint, I really really like her super dynamic technique. It might have been great for her and her team if she had landed it. Go Trusova. I’d love to see you land this jump in front of Japanese skaters some day.

Она для меня одна из очень немногих, кто способен показать эмоции на льду. Это не про гримасу состроить, а прожить. Искренность и настоящие эмоции во всех прокатах именно у нее. Эти прокаты можно, как фильмы смотреть. Какой невероятный талант и такая работа. И какое красивое спортивное тело. Саша, ты лучшая!

According to Plushenko, when he said Sasha shouldn't do a 3A, she got offended and felt like her coach is holding her back. At least we might see her at Worlds this month.

Офигенная программа!!! Вообще Глейхенхауз постарался две отличные программы для неё сделать, которые идеально ей подходят по темпераменту. Хореография и само скольжение выше всяких похвал, ну, красотка!!!

Sasha is my queen😍⛸She is the best quad jumper among female skaters. She has strong mind and the courage to challenge difficult jumps and never give up. I respect her competitive spirit and hard working. My wish is for Sasha to succeed in five quads and triple Axels and win the next Olympics. I support beautiful and pretty princess Sasha👸💓💓

artistry is not all about elegance, I don't understand why they said sasha has no artistry. She's unique in many way, and yet people didn't see it. Though we have different point of view, but for me this was incredible!
