The thing is she was encouraged by previous coaches to work on choreography instead of learning new quads for quite a time at Khrustalny. But only when she got injured she found some time for working on choreography and presentation. Whatever the cause, this is good for her overall impression.

@@qiqisongs I just meant in general. I like this music for her. I think the costume is sort of like if Nathan came out in one of Hanyu's outfits. It might look nice but does it really reflect the skater? I think that packaging her to look like Scherbakova or Kostornaia is always going to be setting her up to measure poorly against them. But it takes experimentation to get it right and that's what they're doing. If she likes it, for now that's honestly the most important point so that she feels confident.

@@iris7484 But the outfit should fit the music. You want her to wear a nathan t shirt and skate to this? Does that fit? Her long program is basically her. But it is all jumps and no choreo. I think this is the best short program she has ever had. It reflects growth. Skating to the same type of music reflect no growth.

Those were my favorite programs, too! So much energy and passion, it's what initially made me pay attention to her skating . What makes Sasha's performances so attractive to me is her versatility as a skater, she's really proven this season that she can do more than big jumps to edgy music. As much I love her old programs, I'm impressed by the way her overall skating skills (choreo as well as jumping), have improved. I still would love to see her utilize the skills she's learned to the fast-paced music we've come to know and love from her though.

Yes, her program is even better at Mishin's anniversary show. She works tirelessly to improve. I read that Morozov was hired by Plushenko to help her improve artistry and it already pays off. It will be such an interesting competition in Stockholm.

@@natalliakroger6112 не, одинаковая, просто Саша с бильмана вышла позднее на более старом прокате А вообще, когда спортсмен конкретно качает мышцы, то растяжку теряет. В спортивной гимнастике девочки если слишком хорошо растянуты, но с плохими мышцами, то им их закачивать приходится, иначе травму могут получить.

Yeah idk she’s definitely a lutz jumper and most people with a strong outside edge for lutz will have problems with the flip and vice versa, but personally, i think if she keeps her 4T, 4Lz, and 4Sal while being able to consistently land the 3A I think she’s pretty set. (She seems keen on acquiring that 4Lo tho haha) honestly she’s got such fire!

Liza T is a strong lutz jumper but also has flip issues.

How do we know what her personality is? Maybe she didn't like "old" style? Have strong physique doesn't automatically mean that person likes to play strong personalities on ice (particularly if it's a young girl)

I’m afraid you’re are mistaken judging tha people didn’t like Sasha earlier when she was in Eteri‘s team. If only you could read in Russian and watch all her previous year programs - you would definitely find a huge amount of people who liked her!

Well I wasn’t really a fan until recently and it certainly wasn’t because of her coaching change. I think it was more because I saw in her the motivation to be a better skater even if it meant she had to momentarily sacrifice something. It’s kind of like the same reason why I was a mega fan of Mao asada and respected her because she was always working to become a better skater- like how she stripped down all her jumps and reworked them from the beginning at the height of her career! I feel like Sasha is doing the same and I respect this girl for that. Rooting for her all the way :)

I didn’t care for her before because she was all jumps and had very bad skating skills/edge quality for someone that finished so high in the standings. No attention to the actual skating & performance. She was way over scored on PCS. I am much more of a fan of her this year because I see actual effort at increasing her PCS and not just focusing on the jumps. She is really trying to improve all aspects and I just sense she’s in a much better place mentally now than she was before. She’s driven to succeed now in a way I didn’t see from her before. And if it took changing coaches to do this, so be it. I want to see her keep skating and continue this journey from the little girl who was quad jumps and nothing else to being a true skater who also happens to do quads.

she says they are working on it! she was injured so she hasn’t been able to and she’s still recovering, but I believe there are definitely trying for a trixel at worlds

i personally think the use of her arms and her interpretation + musicality seem lots better. at around 0:24-0:26, in the reach that she does in that lunge, her fingers and wrists look soft and balletic. her upper body lines in terms of ballet technique also seem a lot better, like the extension of her spine “pulling up” with the shoulders down, neck long. port de bras are rounded rather than broken. her lines no longer break at the wrist or fingernail, but extend beyond that (which helps with projection). the choreo does seem a bit lacking in the stsq but it’s in that extra breathing space where the intention of her lines moving from one point to the next really shines through. also love her musicality, she really seems to be paying attention to it this season. some of the steps that she delays in the 1TV comp rather than the original in the Stage 2 comp really sits with the lulls of the music. her musicality and interpretation here reminds me a lot of Alena’s angel SP during her junior years; the choreo, the music and the skater all blend into one. it becomes an experience rather than just a program, and i love that for sasha ☺️

The coaching change worked for Sasha, it seems this is what she needed, more personal attention and time with her coaching team. And there's nothing wrong with that, she's thriving
