Күн бұрынThe number of skaters attempting triple axels in the ladies field was outrageous in 2020. The world’s first ladies rippon triple axel was debuted by Kamila Valieva in practice. Alena Kostornaia has yet to regain her triple axel after the pandemic kicked in. We saw Rika Kihira’s 3A was performed effortlessly as always, and Wakaba Higuchi finally landed her 3A even though it received a Q call. Whose triple axel is your favourite by far?

Alena's 3A has always been my favorite one, I hope she'll get it back sooner or later! Also really like Rika's and Kami's. Samodelkina def. needs to work on her posture!

She'll get it back, she's one of the few skaters with a really good knack for the Axel and that is inherent to her body and skating skills, it doesn't go away unless there's an injury / halt in training

@@EnzoFoove she already had a stress fracture in her tibia when she was with Eteri because of training 3A, and now she has back problems. unfortunately, I wouldnt be surprised if she doesnt regain 3A

Aw, I hope Kostornaia regains her triple axel, hers is my favorite. She landed it on Grand Prix though.

@@helloeazkra3792 Tonya Harding was the first American figure skater who jumped 3A. However, the first skater jumped 3A was Midori Ito from Japan. Actually, Tonya was the second one.

@@DrScarface74 To say that she 'helped' start this 3a era is definitely not an overstatement. She is not the first woman to land the triple axel, but she is the first woman to do three triple axels in her sp and fs, and landed it fairly consistently throughout her competitive career.

@@teresachiangDifferent techniques comes from the way they are taught to execute the jump. For example, some coaches teach the jump to be done for efficiency- a shorter term technique, and some coaches will teach techniques that are better for injury prevention. The techniques differ because of things like the rotation done on the ice (pre-rotation) and the height, distance, and impact of the jump. Welcome to figure skating!!

Only 13 women in history have successfully completed this jump at an official level. Among them (from Russian Federation) - Tuktamysheva and Kostornaia.

Скорость крутки лучше у Кихиры , но Валиева делает его с риппоном . Самый шикарный у Туктамышевой . Всем остальным кто его освоил не потерять , а изучающим успеха в покорении трикселя .

Not a back counter, but a back three turn. The edge goes from backwards inside to forward outside

I highly admire Liza's hard work and consistency throughout the years, but her Axel isnt particularly pleasing to me, to be fair. Her entrance is super slow, arms awkwardly positioned... I'd take slightly UR Kostornaia with her explosive 3A every day over Liza

@@rilyme6957 Yes, "Rippon" means two arms are raised. Rippon is not a true English word. The move is named "Adam Rippon." Adam Rippon is an American skater who raised him arms. They also name it "Tano," after Brian Boitano.

The first woman to do a triple axel was back in 1989. I've been surprised how underattempted it's been since. I think Beijing 2022 will have a lot of women do thr triple axel and it will set a new level for the skating field.

Ladies 3A: - Only these skaters landed 3A in international and national competitions with +Goe, Kostornaia, Tuktamisheva and Kihira. - Valieva landed 3A in national competitions and Trusova attemp 3A in national and international competitions.

Any video or word on Alysa Liu's 3-Axel? Has it deserted her completely? It was never clean to be honest and she should never have been given credit for it or the quad lutz. I roll my eyes at the fact that they ratified her severely unrotated quad lutz.

Rika is the queen of 3A. She holds 4 positions in the top 5 of the highest scores for a 3A (including the highest one at NHK Trophy 2018: 8,00 + 3,09).

専門的なことは分かりませんが、故障しても次々代わりの選手が出てきます。 ロシアは国内での競争が厳しいですからね。(;´▽｀A``

ロシアの選手のように体に無理強いして高難度のジャンプ(4回転など)を飛び続けると将来歩けなくなる可能性もあります。ですが、競技人口も多いですし入れ替えも激しい。そしてある程度の年齢になると体型変化で多くは引退。なので、いい成績残して早い段階で引退してアイスショーに出て稼ぐ人が多いんだとか。そうなってくると、足への負担、競技人生への影響などは全く省みていないんだと思います。

Samodelkina has a beautiful technique but she has to work in the position at landing. Trusova needs more consistency. Valieva…her ankles remain in my prayers, everytime she jumps anything!

Sorry for my ignorance but is the reason that so many younger girls (13????) can do this jump better than some of the older girls precisely because they're small? If not, then the talent of the field of the 2026 olympics is gonna be insane.

ほとんどがエテリ、元エテリ組ですね。非エテリ組(元エテリ組でもない人)のロシア人もいますが、エテリ組程ではないですね。

まあ、リーザは20すぎても、まだ跳べてますね。もちろん回転不足なく。紀平選手と同じく6種8トリプル決めましたし。他は、まだ10代なので、20すぎても跳べるのかは不明。 エテリ組なんて、ほとんど10代ですからね。色々見てきましたが、ロシアの場合、若手に力を入れてることが多いです。

This is the time that if a lady don’t have at least the 3A, it will be as good as that lady is just a participant and no way to be in the podium. So many Russians are throwing all the quads also here and there. Good that many of them are still in juniors.

@N gral 無理して入れようと練習して、故障したり他のジャンプにも悪影響が出るようでは、国内でさえ、表彰台は危ういです。2019-2020シーズンの坂本選手がそうでした。国内外で表彰台を逃し、不調の極みという状態でした。今シーズンは高難度ジャンプへの挑戦はやめ、従来の演技に磨きをかける方向にゆき、復活しました。逆に、3Aにこだわっている樋口選手は不振です。 世界で表彰台を狙わず、国内の表彰台を確保して、五輪出場を狙うなら高難度挑戦は避けた方が得策でしょう。 今の日本の大学生選手たちは、次の北京五輪が終われば大部分が引退の方向でしょう。次は目指さず、卒業まで学生スケーターを続ける程度かもしれません。ということは、坂本選手はこのままの路線でいくかもね。 紀平選手は次も狙っているらしいし、世界で表彰台を狙うので挑戦し続けるでしょう。(；・∀・)

@N gral 「3Aと2Aの基礎点の違いはなんと5.20」は2017-2018シーズンまでの基礎点ですね。2018-2019シーズン以降は、基礎点が変更になり、2Aが3.30に、3Aが8.00になりましたので、違いは4.70です。 とはいえ、それはエラーなく成功させた場合です。今シーズンはルールが変わり正確な把握が出来ませんので、2019-2020シーズンを事例に紹介しましょう。回転不足の転倒がアンダーローテーションで元の基礎点の80%になった場合。 2019GP中国大会FS演技 韓国のユ・ヨン選手は冒頭の3Aで転倒し回転不足判定がありました。 本来3Aの基礎点「8.00」が「6.40」になり、転倒ですから全審判「-5」を付けGOEは「-3.20」になり、 この3Aの得点は「3.20」になります。転倒の「-1.00」があるから、実質「2.20」ですね。 このFSで冒頭2Aを成功させた宮原選手の得点は、基礎点「3.30」でGOE「0.94」で、得点「4.24」です。 もっと上手に2Aを成功させればもう少し点数が高いかもしれません。 質の良い2Aの事例として、2019フィンランディア杯SP演技でロシアのコストルナヤ選手の2Aは、基礎点3.30、GOEは1.38で、点数「4.68」でした。 3Aにチャレンジして回転不足転倒すれば、2Aを上手に成功させた点数の半分程度になるということです。 リスクが高いので、成功率が低いなら、無理に不安のある3Aを跳ぶより、加点が付く質の良い2Aを跳んだ方が有利になるのです。(^^;)

@N gral 4回転ジャンプのリスクについても触れておきます。2020四大陸選手権FS演技で、坂本選手は4Tに挑戦し、回転不足転倒ダウングレードで、基礎点が3Tの4.20になり、転倒でジャッジ全員「-5」で、GOEは「-2.10」となり、点数は「2.10」ですが、転倒の「-1.00」がありますから、実質「1.10」となります。 4回転に挑戦して、回転不足転倒すれば、1Aの基礎点1.10と同じということです。当然、2Tの基礎点1.30にも及ばないということになります。無理して、4回転に挑戦するより、質の良い3回転ジャンプを跳んだ方が得点的には有利ということです。(；・∀・)

今のロシア女子は、大技にこだわる人が多いですからね。中には、大技にこだわりすぎて、怪我して引退または、ペアやアイスダンスに転向する人もいますよね。

far be it from me sitting here on my ass watching this (i use to skate) as they are doing them which is great......somethings not right!!! lol.....something is different with their arms....can't pin point it just yet, but not use to seeing those kind of arms with the axel just yet....they aren't pulling all the way back like back in the day.....very strange!!!! AND a 10 and 11 year old???? SERIOUSLY!!!!!

every lady in the past who landed 3A worked on it since they were kids. back then we just did not have social media to keep showing it off. dont get me wrong, Im not defending pushing young girls for super difficult elements, but that's how this cookie always crumbled

@@anne-loua.5490 It’s easier for pre-pubescent girls to jump higher and more revs compared to older girls. Not to mention that technology has significantly improved such as harnesses and spinners. Also the boots are now lighter and have shock absorbant tech. Triple axel is now getting more common. Their going for quads now.

here is my problem with the younger ones doing such big jumps instead of muscle there using low body weight to carry them into the air as soon as they reach puperty they will have broken bones and no more skills

None of the Russians besides Alena Kostornaia have clean, stable, running edge landings along with poor posture when jumped in combination, yet they’re rewarded positive GOE. And the overextended free leg on the landings are not aesthetically pleasing. If only the Russian ladies skating focused on artistry like during the Alexei Yagudin days.
