One night I was bored at my apt and decided to go for a walk at the park by the lake. There was a free festival going on and decided to go there. Headliner was Skillet. Had no idea who they were back then. Opening song was Hero and from that point on when I very first saw Jen drumming and singing I was floored! Been a fan since. That show, the live sound was amazing...completely smashed your face in 😆

This band is underrated and yet have held up and aged well and one of the best performances live you can see in your life. Incredible. My kids jam to them so hard since they were very young. I can put on this band and they can be across the house and hear them scream "SKILLET!!" and come running to rock with me.

I've been listening to Skillet since 1996 and am still a huge fan. I don't think many people realize that they have been around that long!

I saw Skillet perform so many times before they crossed over to mainstream. They are one of the reasons I started taking Christian Rock/metal seriously and led me to discovering bands like Underoath, Mewithoutyou, Emery, etc. They ALWAYS put on an awesome show.
