Futures Risk Disclosures and CFTC Hypothetical Performance Disclosure
Risk Disclosure
Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
CFTC Rules 4.41 - Hypothetical Performance Disclosure: Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. for example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can adversely affect trading results.

Thanks, Alex. why a larger time frame take precedence? i thought it would be the opposite, price would reverse first at a smaller timeframe. no? what am i missing? appreciate your effort, great slides and easy to understand.

@@yoloforeva the smaller timeframe will be the pull back to the larger timeframe if they are not in agreeable on direction. That’s not to say you can’t trade the lower timeframe up on a red month but it is to say the better part of the move will be in the direction of that month until you hit magnitude.

On the PMG example 15:43, that last red bar should be a 1. (Nevermind. Saw it fixed at 18:30 but the second bar should be a 1 in that example lol)

At 21.12 if you took the range from above from where your saying and placed a fib I’m sure it would re trace to the 0.62 0.79 levels the get in for a sell. Definitely interesting look at the market using this. Not my way but clearly works for you. 👍🏻

18:53 in this example shouldn't the image be 2-1-2 - 2-1-2. Because the second candle is an inside bar. I don't understand the example with the mother bar.

Hi Alex, Love your videos and style. New to the STRAT but really seems like I might see some light at the end of the learning tunnel!! In the pivot description about 19 mins into the video you label the 2nd bar as a 2 when it appears to be a 1. Am I seeing something wrong? Thanks for doing the videos.

Good one! I'm just starting to pick up the strat, it does take a while to pick up ahah. I see sometimes in smaller timeframes that RR is a bit tricky to do. Sometimes not even a 1:1.

That’s why you trade with timecontinuity, the hourly magnitude might be 1$ but the weekly magnitude is 10$ and the monthly is 40$ from current price. If it’s FTFC then all those targets are possible from lower timeframe entries into those larger signals

Hi Alex, About 8 mins in you have a FTFC example, the 60 is actually red in that example. Should it be green for FTFC?

When looking for FTFC are we looking at just 1 candle for each of the timeframes? Or are we looking for a trend?

When looking at FTFC you look at the current candle since that is what is occurring RIGHT NOW. Previous candles are only used for gauging magnitude.

@@AlexsOptions For FTFC, are we just looking at the price in relation to the open of each time frame candle. for example price > monthly open, price > weekly open, price > Daily open, price > hourly open? That's my understanding from your description / green / red. What's confusing is in section Decoupling, you talk about negating observing the lows and highs of Monthly, weekly , daily bars... through 2 up / 2 downs. Would the specific timeframe be negated if the price trades below the open (and if open is above the low), already? and doesn't need to be below the low of day (which could be a wick).? Could you please clarify the FTFC.

If I enter on daily. Should my stop loss be based on daily candles or lower timeframe

You can base it off of the high or low of the candle depending on short / long positions or you can do it off the closing 4H candle high/low

@@myl0rd3 once it’s a ‘winner’ you can define that as hitting daily magnitude or being up a certain %. If it goes right away then move to break even asap since you’re right you shouldn’t lose money
