Alfa Romeo 156 DRL & Signal Lights

2 жыл бұрынIn this episode, we will bench test and install a DRL system, into a 20 years old Alfa Romeo 156.
For this video, we will use a pair of 1156 66SMD 2-color LED (White - Amber) turn signal bulbs, and one DRL controller module. (same configuration with our previous video • Alfa Romeo 159 DRL & S... )
The signal LED are connected in series with an external 50W 6 Ohm resistor.
They consume 1.5A * 14V = 21W (same power with the old halogen bulbs, therefore the same behavior @ the signal relay)
The DRL
are automatically engaged, when the engine starts and the voltage exceeds 13V
are disengaged when a signal light is engaged
are dimmed automatically when the parking lights are engaged. (night mode)
are disengaged 30sec after the engine stops (follow me home mode)

Is there any heat problem with resistors, do they release a lot of heat?

Greetings nebojsabogicevic2881, The resistors are used only with the flasher, so they don't see a lot of action.

Consumption in sleep mode is 0,003A @ 12.6V = 0,03Watt Consumption in "follow me home" is 0,630A @ 12.9V = 8,13 Watt Consumption in "day running" is 0,563A @ 13.9V = 7,83 Watt Consumption in "night driving" is 0,313A @ 13.9V = 4,35 Watt

Να ξέρεις, δοκίμασα να την λέω και Μιχάλη, αλλά μόνο στο Opel γυρνάει... :-)
