Learn basic Russian that will be helpful if you travel around Russia for the first time or during your first couple of weeks here.
The lesson is simple and slow and you'll learn greetings and goodbyes, how to say your name, say that you don't speak Russian or speak a little, how to thank people, start a conversation, tell where you come from and ask about that.
I highly recommend to put down all new words and phrases and read them slowly 8-10 times. Practice again in several days and record yourself to check your pronunciation.

Добрый вечер, Альфия. Я Денис из Уганды. Спасибо за прекрасные уроки русского, которые вы преподали. Вы так хорошо объясняете и так ясно. Я изучал два урока. Урок 1 и 2, фразы для выживания за две недели. Теперь я могу представиться.

Alfia, as always you made a fantastic video! I apologize I didn’t type this in Russian like I would normally do but time constraints do not allow me look everything up and form sentences that would allow me to convey my thoughts effectively. I really liked the slow pronunciation. I also didn’t know the words чуть-чуть it sounds fun and is now part of my lexicon.

Alfia! Zdractvuyte ! Ya iz indii. I appreciate your videos. Though I am not a beginner, I have a doubt about the pronunciation of unstressed "e" in Russian.For example,in the conjugation of the verb "chitat' "- " by(you-plural) "chitaete", are the penultimate " e" and the final "e" pronounced as "chitaete" or "chitaiti"? Please clarify! Please answer! Thanks !
@Alfia
@Alfia 4 жыл бұрын
Hello! Thanks for your question. According to the rules, it should be pronounced as "chitaete". And it works when we speak quite slowly. Though in fast speech, which is more natural for native speakers, sounds tend to shorten, that's why it sounds like "chitaiti". Try pronouncing it in both ways, slowly and quickly and you'll feel that difference. Anyway, any variant is accepted and is totally understandable. Hope, I was able to clarify it a little. Please, don't hesitate to ask anything.

@@Alfia! Thank you very much for your kind reply. I am a Senior Diploma holder with distinction from Osmania University, Hyderabad (India)in 1973. I am 78 years old. My professors were Russians. Now am writing a book to teach Russian through Telugu (my mother tounge in which about 80 million people speak). I want to make Russian available to our people. Telugu is very convenient to pronounce Russian. I have already completed 120 pages in handwritten form as I don't have access to Russian font. Wish you good health and success in your hard work! Thanks once again! I have taken much of your time!

Альфио происходит от латинского имени Альфиус, взятого из оско-умбрийского слова, означающего «белый». Его распространение связано не только с культом одноименных святых, но и с персонажем Джованни Верги. На Сицилии это имя получило широкое распространение благодаря культу Сант-Альфио, покровителя Лентини.
