Great choice! I remember them well. Glad it's gone to a good home. Tubes made a big difference.

Well !! What a surprise. I've only ever seen one at some sea slde resort but admit I've never played one. They look as though they would take loads of money and by your video, it seems a correct assumption. Another machine that looks in excellent condition but I never realised that there was so much wiring in them which is enough to frighten me off. We had a Computer Win at my local fair years ago but I never played that either. What a clever idea to lock the 50p tube. Once again, really enjoyed your video. Thank you.

It looks like some of the bulbs need replacing as they are not all as bright as each other. It is one of my favourites. Thanks for the show!

I think this is a genius mechanic. A real standout game, something so innovative that they could only do with solidstate games.

The secret to success when I was 9 yrs old was hover around the footy fruity for the 4 payout four cherry win. If you spin the coin in the slot you could influence direction of coin travel. It was the same as the comptons computer win game and a similar one with skittles printed on glass with a 10p coin jackpot with a peg directly over the 10p win slot. The spinning would allow more side travel to hit the harder wins. Great game and one of my favourites .

@@supershotbattymanbor It was the same concept as the coin pushers, spin left to go left, spin right to go right and a heavy push down to hit the cherry directly underneath. Id just wait for 3 cherrys lit and take out the 4 win always in 2 coins or less. As my pocket money was 2 bob a week, i could double my weekly income. Had to not be tempted and suckered in for the silver award etc which were so random id lose my money pretty quick.

SEVEN rows! Mine only has five. First time I've seen one with seven. I'm impressed! These started out in the '60s, on the old penny. I've been looking for one for years, but I've not even seen one, never mind bought one. The gameplay was slightly different in those days, but I can't remember how. I don't think there were any 'always lit' cups. It's still on my 'wanted' list, along with the pre-decimal Brenco 'Wheel of Fortune', and Crompton's 'Cover the Spot'.

Lovely machine Robert ,cromptons machines were always the best ,I've got the original 60s tooty fruity unfortunately on 1p but still works and looks as good as the day it was made.

@@paulmitchell3836 Is the gameplay different on your '60s Tooty Fruity? What happens when you complete a line? Does one of the cups stay lit? There was something different about the decimal ones, but I can't remember what. Do you only have FOUR win-lines?
@paulmitchell3836

Yes it has 4 lines and none of the fruits stay on after a win ,there is a operaters key switch on top of the machine to switch on some of the lamps at the start of the day.

@@paulmitchell3836 That's it! ALL the cups are active. Will it convert back to old penny, do you think?
