So glad I stumped across this, I find the Audio Dramas better than any movies passed Aliens. I know from reading the comments and the channel size this ain't a big production like Alien Out of the Shadows or Sea of Sorrows but it was still very much worth the listen. Fits right in universe 🖤

How often do you guys do these radio dramas? I listened to Proximity and loved it. Edit: Listened to Abandon as well and as a big time critic of character writing, this is so well done. In a meritocracy this would be lauded for its superiority to the official material. I hope there's more coming soon.

This was a fabulous story! I really liked it a whole lot more than any of the recent Alien movies. What I really liked was the happy ending. Noah, that rat bastard, gets his just deserts. I really enjoyed how Noah, who is a betrayer and murderer, really gets paid back for his actions. Yates, the victim of both the company and his human partner Noah is saved. and Elliot, who is the artificial "synth" shows more conscience and compassion, more sense of right and wrong, than the traitorous human Noah. I thought the idea of the alien that was "birthed" from Yates body was not a mindless beast was fabulous. It let both Yates and his friend Elliot live, while tearing Noah to pieces. Did the alien actually show recognition and gratitude to the man who had given it life? And then reacted to kill the other man who had hurt his "progenitor"? We don't know but it is a terrific plot point that adds a lot to the story. That is such a terrific change from the old "Alien" trope, and I really enjoyed it. In the end, Elliot and Yates both escape to a better life, with the added bonus that they screw the company that set this whole thing up and betrayed them both. I loved the story, but most especially the happy ending! Well done! I love a happy ending and so few stories give us one. I was enormously impressed with the quality of this production. It is beyond excellent----fantastic writing, well plotted and marvelously acted. The quality of the audio is excellent, easy to listen to. This is really a very high quality radio play----so well done that as you listen, you have no problem visualizing all the action as it happens. Highly recommended!

LOL , you are wrong about the xenomorph . It would of killed Yates but it did not because Yates had/has a embryo inside him and the android can't be a host and it was not a threat for the xenomorph . That is why the xenomorph did not attacked them and only got Noah XDD

This is all around great. This is going in my private Alien audio playlist. It really shows how amazing this world is that there are so many great fan made projects out there. It's so loved that if there isn't a professionally produced audiobook of an Alien book there's a fan who probably has their own version they did for everyone out there. I've come across so many. People even doing audiobook forms of the comics. One of the best fanbases out there! Thanks and subbed...

Rule 1 in the Alien Universe. If you're being sent to a worthless rock because the company's interested, and you're not Colonial Marines, nor are you a Colony to terraform said worthless rock, you're being sent to a Space Jockey artifact. I speak only of the Giger Jockey. Evil exoskeletal pachydermoid bony proboscis-possessed alien hooked up to a ship's brain. Engineers aren't canon in my book Don't care for Scott and his stargate-knockoff R-rated god-complex obsessed 8 foot tall alien albino basketball athlete jokes.

Be warned: These aren't the droids you're looking for. Abandon, although well-produced & well-intentioned is uneven in other areas such as the story and voice-acting. The synthetic's voice is IMHO far from appropriate. And the story, well, it's flawed and just not that engaging. I was hooked during the intro scene but by the end Abandon left me feeling disenchanted.
