What always creeped me out about facehuggers wasn't the scuttling or jumping, but how deceptively strong they were. So seeing a whole wad of them bust through a glass pane is terrifying.

Considering its supposed to take place chronologically between Alien 1 and 2, they certainly nailed this "in-between" vibe. It looks as if it'll be more action packed than Alien but not as much as Aliens. It looks like it will focus more on horror and suspense than Aliens did but not as much as Alien, etc.

Really hope he doesn’t follow the instant chest burster implantation method. If they indeed get it off really quick. Sure I understand the face hugger just pretty much panic dumping it’s cargo but to me it kind of defeats the purpose of the hugger going through all of that work to stay on for a hour or more, when it could just do its job in mere seconds. I didn’t like the fast turn around times in some of the other films too. It’s a lot more terrifying just to have your friend lay there with a spider attached to their face. Puts everyone into a very hard problem.

It's annoying how fast they make the chest bursting happen in everything after Alien4. Just how do they think these creatures spread? I'm a little torn on the facehugger swarm. @@headshot217 Cain being implanted through his space suit shows that masks likely aren't an option. Besides, the scene seems to be a chase, the end is likely to involve them closing a nice thick airlock door to keep them safe(barring maybe one last face hugger who gets someone, maybe the same someone we see having their facehugger pulled off). Too many fans think they don't mesh but if you just think about all of their represenative plots, it makes sense that "space trucker" Nostromo and "worn down" Sulaco can coexist with one-of-a-kind exploration missions (Prometheus) and early mass colonization efforts (Covenant). Me too. I am curious to know how any eggs etc got on the space station in the first place. In the original Alien film that is supposed to be the first encounter. Then Ripley is lost for 57 years, before she finds out the company now has a colony on the original planet with the ship and eggs. Till that point no one knew they were there at all from the colony and supposedly neither did the company. So how are they on a space station set in a time period when Ripley was lost? Did someone at the company suspect there was something on that planet after Nostromo went missing? They knew there was a "distress" call and tasked the ship to be diverted there. So when Ash never reported back and the whole crew etc vanished, someone must have had suspicions. So maybe that someone went there before the colony got started...then set up the space station project and got killed on Romulus / Remus etc before the new films team turns up for salvage...And I think I just answered myself....

I already hate that it has a connection to the Prometheus films as those movies were ultimately awful especially as I hate that they tried to imply the Xenomorph having a potential clear origin but what made it so terrifying in the first place was the mystery of where it came from making it ‘Alien’ to us plus if the Prometheus/Alien Covenant origin is to be widely accepted then we may as well just stop calling it the Alien franchise and call it the genetic experiment franchise or something instead

@@mwk1 I would’ve preferred it if Prometheus was it’s own thing and had nothing to do with the Alien IP because then Ridley Scott could’ve had his own sci-fi trilogy with Alien, Blade Runner and Prometheus being unconnected but then they could’ve sold it as the Ridley Scott sci-fi box set if possible but definitely a trilogy of the same genre akin to Paul Verhoeven’s sci-fi trilogy. I remember really being dead excited for Prometheus and looking forward to not only a new film that wasn’t connected to an existing IP but Ridley Scott returning to science fiction film don’t get me wrong I would love it if someone can get Alien right at long last after James Cameron‘s Aliens. I still think the Xenomorph’s origin should’ve remained a mystery which makes it far more terrifying. In Prometheus they should’ve just had the android create something else something new & fresh, No Xenomorph & no Weyland/Yutani, considering it’s titled Prometheus not just named after Greek Myth but there was also Mary Shelley‘s Frankenstein: The Modern Prometheus it could’ve been more of a retelling of Frankenstein but in space becoming it’s own new IP

@@xKinjax I prefer the Jockeys from the comics, Fan theories and dark descent. One of the best theories I heard was the Jockeys were the ultimate "God", going back a few billion years as a vast, interstellar empire. They create several races, and one day, they create the pinnacle of genetic engineering, their mistake giving it too much free will and allowing it to create like it's masters, these are the Igiggi from mesopotamian myth. The slave races led by "marduk" the pinnacle slave species, the Engineers. The elephant headed, exoskeletal-snake bodied Jockeys and their heavily bio-mechanically augmented psionic-willed bodies (they were telepathic in the comic and the very old Alien: FUZION by Chris Dias I'm friends with him on social media) are the Annunaki, the Titans, the slave-drivers, "the spatial architects". The Engineers lead an eventually slave rebellion after mistakenly thinking they no longer need their masters. The War in Heaven ensues, terrible weapons like the Xenomorph and far worse of eldritch design are employed until only the slave races stand victorious. They begin to clean up the galaxy, terraforming worlds, fixing horrifically damaged ecosystems and create their own servant races, us amongst them and predators and many others. The cycle repeats. LV426 "Acheron" was either a crash site, or it was a subterranean Space Jockey (NOT ENGINEER CONTROLLED) space port, blown to hell only one ship in good enough to conditioned that never got a chance to retaliate against upstart slaves as it's cargo leapt free from its damaged stasis fields, infecting the pilot and ultimately killing it. I want THAT over these constant reboot movies.

The right amount of information one needs to get interested. Thirdly, as an idea, it would be great if at the end we get to see that one of the kids is a hybrid which didn't knew of him/her self and the movie would end with that character hearing and making a connection with the Xeno hive and with the Queen. Or at the end a Royal Facehugger gets the protagonist and he/she ends up on LV-426 bringing the Queen to the planet and to Hadley's Hope, and from there starts Aliens or they meet with Amanda Ripley, from Alien Isolation. That shows a couple things that we can sleep well at night knowing: 1) Fede respects the entire Alien universe of movies (sans maybe Resurrection but that's ok), 2) His take on 'Alien' is his own that both Ridley and Cameron loved to see a different vision or angle of and 3) A story that focuses as much on the Xeno as it does on the characters themselves, which, I'm personally looking forward to.

This is in stark contrast to the first film which was a masterpiece of tension and horror elements. They've been sorely missed, and most of the fan base will tell you this. @@richt7525 Lol What? Yes it REALLY is. What you're saying is nonsense as the horror aspects has been always been consistent throughout the mainline Alien movies, except for Aliens which wasn't trying to be scary at all, it was just having an eerie atmosphere with intense action. But the franchise as a whole is STILL horror based with a creepy atmosphere throughout. And whatever Resurrections was doing was just bizarre but it was still good fun. AVP doesn't count AT ALL nor even close to being canon as those are just spin off movies. Prometheus and Alien Covenant are BOTH Horror/Sci-fi movies, they combined BOTH genres into the film as the first film has done. Alien Covenant especially trying to be more scarier than prometheus was with it's intense atmosphere, horrific set pieces, and chilling soundtrack which were excellently well done. "What cosmetic horror elements were present were heavily diluted. This is in stark contrast to the first film which was a masterpiece of tension and horror elements. They've been sorely missed, and most of the fan base will tell you this." I STRONGLY disagree with this notion that they've been "hEaVIlY dIlUaTeD" as they have been central focused WITHIN prometheus and alien: covenant. Yes, the first Alien movie does it the best compared to prometheus and covenant but it's unfair to say that they didn't have MAJOR cosmic horror elements throughout, that's what those movies were all about. Especially Covenant. "We've been stuck in a space marine kill super bugs rut for too long now and we need to leave it." LOL What? That hasn't been much of a thing since Resurrections or Alien games where you're mainly playing as the marines against hordes of enemies. We haven't BEEN there in any of the movies for MANY MANY years. What you're And calling Xenomorphs "super bugs" is only cheapening them as they've ALWAYS been more than that and more complex in their biology, it's why the humans want them so much. They're WAY more than just "super bugs" as they are the main antagonistic force and face OF the franchise, literally EVERY movie has xenomorphs in them as they ARE the franchise as they are the mainline threat in every film, except for prometheus even tho tho they are still in it at the final scene. That's what the series is all about, the xenomorphs themselves. "Prometheus and Covenant did that much, at least, but it wasn't enough. Not even close." It WAS enough to give off that eerie sense of cosmic horror which the series has always been known for and even Alien Isolation has done that as well. I'm sure that Alien Romulus will be more up and center about all of this and definitely WAY more better and consistent than prometheus and covenant but it's entirely unfair to say that they didn't have horror/cosmic horror in them as series has HAD hardcore horror in these movies for the LONGEST of times now for years in them.
