There’s a guy on Reddit I’ve chatted with a few times who has the prop grips from the movie Vasquez used on the same model pistol and has a working pulse rifle build. I think all the stuff is cool, this smart gun being around is pretty mind blowing though.

*_WOWZA-!_* Such an iconic piece of science fiction, let alone cinematic history and to top that off, the ever so cool, Mr. Mark Ralston was there to share it. SIDE NOTE: Just after 'ALIENS' was released in 1986, I was in a SPORTS SHOE store in the Beverly Center in Beverly Hills, CA, buying myself some new Nike's ... and sitting a few chairs down, testing out another pair was -- -- Mr. Ricco Ross ... and what a cool, personable guy he was. As I was leaving with my new sneakers, I said to him, 'ALIENS-!' and he, replied with an, 'Ohhhhh, yeahhh ...' He was then, like when he happily now, crashed the interview, was indeed, back in the day, just as happy ... Time flies, eh-? Let's rock-!! D.A.

Lovely... so metal. Made for killing bugs. Deactivated? Not for long. Outside of the comics, they should of explored more with the Colonial Marines, terraforming colonies, and the Xenomorphs in the movies or a mini-series. Equipment like the M56 and the M577 is made to be seen in use on the silver screen, they are too beautiful to be not.

Actually, as you likely know, from 1995 onwards, there's been the 'Aliens: Colonial Marines Technical Manual(s)' and if you or anyone shall do a film in the times preceding 'ALIENS' ... that's a good place to use as a 'story bible' to keep it Canon. Keep Bug Hunting, amigo ..! D.A.

To be a smart gunner, it's cooler than I can think of. It has their auto targeting system of firing specific kinds of possible threats as "the steady cam" does the aim for you automatically as the gunner fires the enemy which that eye scope shows which threat you should be firing and the other not, that's awesome. If only had a grenade launcher or flamethrower attached on that smart gun it'll be an unstoppable weapon and a nightmare to the Xenos. Kickass gun!!

Truly sad how many things are thrown away during a divorce soley out of spite. Now his son has nothing to memorialize his father for being in that film after he passes. Nothing to do with cash value, but sentimental value is priceless. She may never admit to it, but I bet his mother does regret it now to some extent.
