What a clever teacher you are Mike. you "intentional mistake' over the size of the roof bolts, will always make me remember they are 6mm (hahah!) Thanks mate!

Hi Mike. Very timely as just had my 90 painted and I have exactly the same problem with one of my doors showing almost zero gap at back edge near top of door. Will have a go at jiggling the panels once the weather improves (oh the joy of working outside in the winter)

Better than new - LR delivered them with gaps around the doors that let rain in and the doors were clearly out of line. Then again, the front wings on Defenders always look droopy, the right more than the left, because the chassis brackets are 7mm closer together than the length of the slam panel. Body alignment is an offensive term in Solihull!

@@BritannicaRestorations Mine too 😀 Thanks for all your videos and the time you put into this. You produce great content and your videos are very watchable and informative. Just waiting on new door deals to arrive for my td5 90. Keep up the great work. 👍

Thanks for the help. although my 2nd row door on the 110 is too tight at the bottom side angle edge. I think the door must have been made slightly out of size as my pillar and front door are perfect, kind of annoying

No problem 👍

Hi Mike, great work. I'm rebuilding a 110 and have the rear tub and seatbox bolted in; no doors on. The bulkhead has been off and now loosely in place. There's a gap between the sill bars and the bottom of the bulkhead . Should I shift the bulkhead backwards (with shims between outrigger and bulkhead) or, shim the gap ? cheers
@BritannicaRestorations5 жыл бұрын
Yes, shim the bulkhead to meet the end of the sills Mike

my drivers side door doesn't even close its that bad, what's annoying is the passenger door is more than bloody perfect. I might just start entering and exiting from the passenger side :/
