It's not wrong, it's cross training and the techniques are adapted to best suit the training that would most help with advancement for the gymnast. Skaters and other athletes do the same thing.

@MegaSynchronicity lots of vegitables and meat. You need to have a high protein intake as well as vitamines.

@vanessarhythmic it is pretty impossible to work hard when not eating enough calories in a day. Also you need to get enough protein in order for your body to make new matrial for your muscles and tendons (so they can grow as you build strength and flex)

cuz it´s a different activity...........gymnast hav a flexibility than ballet dancer can even dream of.....duh!

@nijyafairy gymnasts need adapted ballet not the regular one cause the regular one doesnt help them that much. rhuthmic gymnasts are much more flexible that ballerinas and holding their leg out at 90 degrees is 100% nothing. that is why they do adapted ballet. rhythmic gymnasts nedd different muscles than ballerinas, and i would know because i am a rhythmic gymnast. so dont talk if you dont know.... its still ballet... maybe not thw one your used to but... still ballet
