All 20+ Hypixel Ranks Explained In 7 Minutes
Today, I explain every Hypixel rank in the servers history. This includes the [PIG+++] rank owned by Technoblade and even more secret ranks, such as the [EVENTS] rank. I also explain some removed ranks, such as the [APPLE] and [SLOTH] rank, so make sure to stay until the end. I hope you all enjoy this video!

i think mod rank and helper rank were originally unpaid, but hypixel was worried about working laws (there are strict guidelines about unpaid work for a for-profit organization) so they were changed to gm's who are actually paid

Fun Fact: If you went to hypixel lobby 1 at one point, you could see the mods getting demoted and changed to game masters.

He was special because his account (I suppose)had all the capes available besides the special ones like the turtle cape not available to ordinary players.

3:45 My understanding of why Helper and Moderator's removal are related to NDAs. Around the time that they made the change from Helper to Mod and Mod to GM, there had been multiple cases of misuse of permission. For example, someone leaked Dwarven Mines Mithril before it was available to the public and multiple moderators had exposed who had what job as a moderator (this is a problem because it puts a "target" on some mods, specifically the appeals team). With paid GMs, they could ensure greater fidelity with their workers at less risk of all of the leakage from before being repeated. As sad as it is they removed Helper and Mod, it was probably for the best. Either that, or I need to take my tinfoil hat off.

Honestly, youtube rank has a lot of hidden perks that most youtubers won't end up using and there's probably lots that we don't even know about. There might also be some perks for specific youtube ranks, such as access to hypixel's library of noteblock songs (it's huge there are probably 1000s of songs there), ShinkoNet has used that perk in a video but idk if other yts can use it. Also also, the 30k sub count isn't a strict requirement. Depending on the situation they can give ranks to people associated with something that has enough subs, pure twitch streamers or even bilibili creators (basically chinese youtube (yes the play Java with VPNs))

I remember in 2013 the VIP rank cost $20 and it was going to be "the only rank released on the server". Initially called "Hypixel's VIP Pass" Fast forward to 2014 and 2015 I upgraded to MVP and MVP+ at 75% discounts. Then, they said "MVP+ will be the final rank released on the server". Then MVP++ was added later after I stopped playing.

Helper rank was not removed, it was merged with moderator into the GameMaster rank
