Golden barbs are a well known species in the fish keeping hobby and can be kept in a wide range of different aquarium styles and setups thanks to their hardiness. They don't grow too large - maxing out at about 3 inches and are defiantly one of the easiest barb to keep as there are not many other fish they don't get along with. They only reall challenge they pose is they are active and do like some space, and so for a small school of about 6 individuals you'll need to provide then with a tank at least 80cm in length.
