I love what Deb says about being more intentional about creating these moments of social learning when people are remote. I would argue, however, that we should also be more intentional about them in a face-to-face environment!

Very nice interview Deb. :), it's all about connecting people to people, connect people to purpose (culture and strategy to enhance engagement) and connect people with information. Starting with a good two-way onboarding process. Last year I had a very nice project for Zorginstituut Nederland with the implementation of the social intranet/ engagement platform called PLEK. In a joint effort of HR and Communication we created an environment for new an existing employees to meet ,exchange and onboard virtually. Using a central platform for communication, learning, knowledge exchange and onboarding proved to be a powerful tool. It's available for about a year now and new employees value their onboarding between a 8 and 9 on a scale of 10.

Curiosity really is key when it comes to learning and having a growth mindset. But it’s important on so many other levels too, for instance for managers when building a team and creating an inclusive environment for the people in their team.

Appreciate that you flagged the issue with 'fit' - it can be limiting in terms of building diversity in a team. Hybrid logistical/tech issues are proving to be challenging where I am. Inner Critic Workshop sounds interesting!
