All About The Blue Reef Chromis or Blue Reef Damselfish

This is a fish that has been asked for a lot and I am so glad to be bringing this video for everyone to learn about some beautiful schooling fish. While the green reef chromis have a very peaceful personality, the blue reef chromis come with a little more aggressive side to them. If you've ever had some in your own tank, let us know how your experience was with them. Were they peaceful or territorial over the tank?

Hey Brock! Setting up my first 40 breeder in a few weeks and was wondering what your thoughts are about adding 1-2 Firefish goby in the tank before the chromis since their more shy ?

Hello Mr Brock. Thank you for your information. What do you think about adding blue reef chromis to my 40 gallon breeder? I have 1 black axil chromis in the tank. I had a crash 3 months ago and he lost his friends. =(. Do you think the Blue reef chromis will bully my 1 axil chromis?

Getting a 40g tank for my birthday. This is my stocking list: pair of ocellaris clowns, 2 banggai cardinals, a dart fish, a 6 line wrasse, and a baby yellow tang. What do you think about that list and let me know if you would add/change anything

7 fish can be a lot for a 40 gallon tank, I would just take it slow. Add a couple at a time, keep up with your water changes, and see how much the tank can handle :)

Are you still going to do the Queen Angel fish, and if you are I have a few other suggestions: Sergeant Majors, Cuban Hogfish, Jack Knife Fish, Powder Brown Tang, Lemon Peel Angel, Clown Trigger, Stars and Stripes Puffer, Longnose Hawkfish, and maybe bottom dwelling sharks

would a scopas tang be fine in my 55? im confused cuz some say it grows to 8" but others say 1'

They tend to do well if you get a juvenile and let them grow into it

I haven't had the best of luck with these fish from Liveaqauria they tended to die off several times. Not sure but I have had better luck with the green chromis as far as health. I had them in a 75 gallon full grown. Wonder what are your opinions. I know they are 50.00 each now 300 for 6 of them...….Chet

Dang, the ones they are getting must not be as hardy, or they are not handling the shipment well. Green Chromis are definitely a favorite of mine and much cheaper too.

Man I just ordered 3 today from live aquaria before seeing your comment. Did they die suddenly or were there signs of diminishing health? What was your feeding schedule? Any advice if you were to try again?

@@rubenpanchito4223 Mine didn't last long due to a couple of factors. I think my six line wrasse was picking on them gave one popeye and my aquarium was fairly new although cycled I was attempting balanced chemistry without water changes which I finally achieved but it was too soon for them as my nitrates were a little high and we had a sudden heat wave and I couldn't couldn't get the temp down sufficiently.
