All Along The Watchtower: You've Never Heard It Like This #10!
Here is my version of All Along The Watchtower written by Bob Dylan but I have based it on the Jimi Hendrix version. This is such a classic and a real favourite of mine. I have performed this songs more times than I can remember. I am using my RC-30 Loop Pedal in this one too, just to add something a bit different.
I hope you enjoy it! And, as always, Hit that 'Like' button, Subscribe to the channel and leave a comment below.

Bob Dylan wrote and recorded this song, HIS WAY! Jimi Hendrix covered it , HIS WAY! Hundreds of artists since then have tried to replicate Hendrix, which ain't gonna happen 'bro. This guy covered the tune, HIS WAY!. Although his playing evokes the direction that Hendrix took the song in, He's NOT trying to be Hendrix, just projecting his Soul into his own passionate rendition. Good Job!

So funny how people who have never felt the deep emotion of performing a masterpiece so soulful look upon someone bravely letting their heartfelt feelings shine through with a sincere honesty as if that performer is faking his facial expressions. Forgive those shallow fools who think everyone is like them and since they have never experienced such a deep connection with all the haunting lyrics and harmonics created by a master songsmith they think no one could possibly be experiencing something they themselves have never experienced. This performance was from the heart with real soul baring honesty. Great to see anyone feel anything so deeply. Well done.

it's weird but technical ability or virtuoso playing does not mean much really. It's that magical mixture of songwriting, charisma, performance etc. If you could write an instruction book then we could all do it! Take the Beatles or say the Stones (my generation!!) none of them could be called virtuoso players by any means - very capable with great timing as a unit but they have that "something else" that only really great performers have. Huge talent that transcends us lesser mortals! The internet is just bursting with amazingly talented musicians, thousands of them. Look at the old blues players, Big Bill, Sun House (sun house a uniquely crazy technique!), Howling wolf. It's not really about playing skills though that helps!

David, your comments really resonated with me. I'm 53, have played guitar, bass, drums, and sing some most of my life. YES! This cover just blew me away. Absolutely breathtaking. But also, when I read that you have bandmates, it really stoked the fire in me to pick it back up. To get back into jamming with some other people. My best friend Rick(guitar player), who I jammed with since age 14, died 4 years ago and I allowed that death to consume me. I shut it down. Got bad off into addictions. Now that i've come through that, i'm ready to dust off my Les Paul, lol. Your comments inspired me today. Thank you David. God bless you, my brother.🎸🎶❤☺🙏👍

@@heavyjoechipman3594 I'm glad my words moved you in a positive direction. I wasn't expecting to do that and so, your reply comes as a nice surprise. There have been a few times when i went for a while without playing. I had a heart attack and open heart surgery right before the pandemic. I was in a coma for about six weeks while laying on my left arm. By the time I got out of the coma and into rehab, my left arm and hand had suffered a lot of nerve damage and a tremendous loss of strength. I didn't think I'd ever play the guitar again. But fortunately, little by little, it all came back. I had to rebuild my callouses and get my left hand back to normal. I'm glad I put in the effort. We guitar players form a community of like minded people and I'm glad to be a part of it.

I just found out Prince wrote ‘manic monday’ which I thought The Bangles wrote!
