I really like how the Max Payne franchise has 'bosses' while still being realistic. Like, any enemy that you can't just headshot with ease becomes a boss, even if it isn't comparable to the heights of other franchises - and even if it's just a case of needing to manoeuvre around to get a good shot. Great job putting this together, to me a boss can even mean any enemy that sticks out against their peers, and it looks like you agree!

I came back to Max Payne 1 yesturday, still great, cant believe that Rockstar abandoned this IP. One of the best 3rd person shooter with memorable story.

You have to agree, Max Payne 1 had the most interesting missions, the most action and cool boss fights. I just can´t compare it to the second game. The second feels too easy and to short.

Yep ! I love the second game, Infact, It was my 3rd ever game and the game I had most fun with, except for GTA SA and Plants Vs. ZOMBIEs and Rome TW, But it has pretty easy bosses. Kaufman is basically "Spam Ak", Mike is like "1 Shoot-doge with an M-16 and it's over", but Vlad is pretty challenging at first......Before you realise you have to shoot those conveniently placed screws. But yep, MP 1 for the Win un terms of bosses

I can only imagine being the passenger in the plane flying above the wrecked plane. You get greeted to Brazil with burning vehicles all over the runway, bodies everywhere, find out that the subway is closed due to one of the trains crashing, and an airport terminal with more bodies in it. "Ugh. Next time, I'm picking the destination for our vacation."

Vlad sucked all he had to do was wait for wooden to die then takeover but no he got greedy and impatient also he could've told max that wooden hired mona to kill him but he didn't have to worried sense he was going to kill wooden but it would be in max best interest to stay out of his way and it was his fault winterson died he shouldn't have gotten involved with her. Vald and Horne were the worst they made victor look good even though he wasn't great either

@@nikolajovanovic1505 woden was never on max side he was using him to take out Horne Remeber he fake his own death in the first game to get out of his problems but max had the the candy dawn tape as leverage against him to make sure he kept his promise to have the charges against him go away. Like vlad wooden wanted max dead because he was a threat he knew too much about the inner circle unlike vlad who didn't want to kill max but max forced his hand when he showed no signs of letting go but wooden wanted max dead after he killed Horne

Fuck me, he made the fight with Becker and Bachmeyer look easy. Lupino was a pushover compared to them. Being a Payne fan since I was about 13, Max Payne 3 was easily one of the hardest games I've ever played.

@@silentwraith2384 The original has a very angry 70's feel to it with a touch of 30's & 40's Noir along with some modern Hong Kong action. My older brother first showed it to me sometime in 2002, 2003. I was just a kid then, but I was super interested in how intense the game felt. The second has a much more depressed, bleak feeling to it. I always thought of it as a made-for-TV movie that you caught on from time to time and always watched because it was actually good. I think of the three, Max Payne 2 is my favorite. The score is heartrendingly beautiful as well.

The deagle is really underrated, it's the weapon that does the most flinch to enemies, meaning that if you keep shooting them with the deagle they won't be able to react.

imo, max payne 1 was going for an action thriller game (like die hard). max payne 2 was more of surreal crime drama (like l.a. confidential - though with beefy action scenes). epic boss fights and blockbuster action spectacle would make sense for the former. more focus on the psychological narrative and realistic character depictions would make sense for the latter.

I like how they made the bosses for Max Payne 3 grounded and realistic. Technically, you can still kill them with headshots or explosions but you have to go through phases to get close by, unlike the usual high HP bosses from 1 & 2, which is still great for their time.

Rofl, it always cracked me up, and made slightly sad at the same time that MP1 bosses had different guns during comic sequences and in actual game Jack Lupino had either MP5 or Uzi in graphic novels but in game he has sawn off Boris Dime had an AK but in game he's got a shotgun Nicole Horne had a weird looking green uzi but in game she dons a single ingram.

It took years for me to realize that there's only Two boss fight in Max Payne 2 lmao. Ngl the gameplay is Fun. Kauffman unique intro is somehow only unique to him, weird. I feel like at some point there will be more bosses in MP2, but they can't come up with other villains somehow.

I’m hoping the bosses will be better in the upcoming remake Not that they’re bad per say there’s actually a lot of thought put into them then most games of this type but there’s room for improvement

Первую часть обожаю, проходил залпом на новый год, этакий шутер с отличным сюжетоом. Вторую часть не осилил она была скучной! но для сюжетной линии пришлось сейчас пробую третью ибо в свое время не успел. Макс хороший человек, просто не всем так везет в жизни..
