We have vinyl “fake wood” flooring. I have used a steam mom on it since day one. We have lived here 7 years and it still looks brand new!

If you throw the laundry detergent cup in the washer it will get rinsed out, and save you detergent so you dont have to wash the excess out in the sink. Huge money saver🤗

If you ever wanted something to cover the laundry room so guests couldn't look into it when they come over you could hang a curtain over the doorframe. It could still be cute and it wouldn't hit the washer or dryer! You could also try and put little push lights underneath the master sink/in the sink cabinet. They're like the ones you put in display cases. Then you would be able to press them and light up the under area of the sink to see, since Chad didn't like the towel idea.

Trash Can Storage: girrrl I had this same problem when I moved a year ago! I was looking at buying one of those tilt out trash cabinets but they're also like $400 lol 😱. SO! I ended up buying a basic Ikea cabinet, and picked the doors I wanted (also IKEA) separately and made my own! It was less than $120 ( cabinet, doors, handles, and feet to lift it up off the floor) and it fits everything perfectly! And you could get a piece of granite/marble remnant and it'll match your existing counter? Just a thought! 🤗 I love seeing your new space come alive! Can't wait for the next video!

We have a trash can that would match your stainless steal. It’s a motion sensor to open. We bought it at Costco. For recycling it’s in the garage by the door to keep it out of the house.

I have been watching your videos for motivation, and sometimes it works really good, sometimes not so great.... I have been home for a very long time from my fulltimework because of poor health, wich has been soo sad for me and it has made me puffy, lazy and unmotivated for about anything really....But I really love to see your videos, expecially in your new house, so happy for you! So excited you made a cleaning video!!! Can’t wait for the next one!!!! Okay, on the garbage location, I say the corner would be great even if you see it from the living room and dining room only because it’s not in your way. There are some cute garbage cans that are like a double and look pretty cool!!! And for the shower doors in your bathroom, I think you should skip it and just do curtains. A solid color white, pink, light purple, whichever color is your favorite 😆, 1-one less thing to clean and 2- it hides all the stuff that are inside the shower. Plus you can switch them up. 😁👍🏼 hope you have a great week. Hope to see another video “sooner rather than later” 💞💞💞🥰🤗

Hey girl! I use a steam mop and I have the same flooring as you as well as tile in the washrooms and I have had no issues. I use the Shark one which I actually got from Costco for only 100$ and I ordered back up mop pads from amazon for 25$ as well. We moved into our house 6 months go and I steam mop twice a week and haven’t had a single issue with the flooring getting damaged! Check out Costco for sure for a good deal on on a mop!!

Hey girl! Two things actually three. One the new house is amazing so happy for you guys. Two SHARK makes the best steam mop, I have its and super light weight, quick to fill and easy to just pull off the washable pads. And three I just saw this report on little ones climbing on dressers from ikea and it falling on them. Don’t forget to secure the dressers you have so they don’t tip over. My sister is newly pregnant and I was telling her today. Hope these help!

we have a double sink in my house too, we call it a dish drainer haha. There are inserts that you can get that go into the sink so you can dry your hand washed dishes rather then putting a rack on top and having it stick out. it just makes the counter look a lot more smooth if you’re interested!

We are in the process of moving too. 😊 I do not know if this is usual in the US but in my country we usually have the garbage in the cabinet under the sink. Here you can buy like a pull out trash can for under the sink with several bins for recycling. 😊

You seem like such a good Mommy, wife, friend etc.. random but just thought I would mention it. Haha ❤️ Your new house is so gorgeous! I like the baskets that you keep in the living room that is an awesome idea to put random things in. It’s kinda overwhelming moving into a new home and the fact that there are so many things to collect and do overtime. It’s almost like you wanna snap your fingers and the entire house have furniture and be decorated. 😂 I’ve lived in my current home for two years now and I’m still not done decorating, I have to keep reminding myself that it’s a process and be patient but it’s hard!

I feel like I’ve tried every mop and mop system out there and my favorite is the OCedar easy wring spin mop. Old fashion mop bucket seems to work the best and this bucket makes it super simple and (almost) enjoyable to do

We have the same kind of floors, and I use my steam mop several times a week. With kids and pets, it's a must! We have the Bissell PowerFresh Deluxe, and I can't say enough good things about it. Very easy to use and makes the floors super clean.

Love your new digs! I think you said once you wanted to paint the island situation - I would paint it a medium gray, and add brass hardware everywhere. It’ll pull in the backsplash, stainless appliances, these stools, add a pretty warm AND cool vibe, and look fabulous with all your pink accents! Just my opinion, of course. I LOVE interior design, and could just imagine it while watching the video so I wanted to share. Take care!

Yay! A video in the new home! It is already looking gorgeous! Have you thought about painting the dresser you have to the color blue you want? It’s a great way to repurpose and saves you money. There is hardware you can buy to make an under the cabinet trash can holder, if you wanted to go that route. A stainless steel trash can would blend in with the rest of the appliances so if you wanted to put it on the left next to the robot vacuum it wouldn’t be an issue. Especially once you have your dining set in the space. Some storage baskets in the cubbies of the coatrack would look cute. There is a mat you can buy to put your wet shoes on to dry before storing them. I have it, but I have to look it up. I will post it in a response to this comment. Just remember to do what makes you happy! Your home is looking magnificent so far! Sending you hugs and love!❤️

The Bissel Crosswave is awesome! I owned a home daycare and it's amazing b/c it vacuums up what food baby throws on the floor and mops at the same time! Huge time saver! Lol I think every Mom needs one. You should look into doing an Elfa closet system from The Container Store! I just got mine a couple months ago and absolutely love it!

Hey there! Our kitchens are set up very similar and I recommend moving the Rumba to a different spot and putting your trash can there! And also ordering clear silicon corner tabs for the corners of your island chairs so they don’t hit and leave marks on your beautiful island :) hope this helps!!

My 2cent on the bath towels under the sink... I love the idea and actually used it for awhile until my sink decided to leak (a couple different occasions) and I finally got fed up with rewashing wet and mildew towels.

I can't believe you are in your new house already. Now you just have to get a lot of decorating stuff and other things to make it your own. Also I can't believe how fast Forest is growing and he is so cute!!!!

You are looking great and the new house is beautiful! I just bought a new trashcan/recycle on Amazon it's the Hembor dual trashcan 16 gallon for $119. It wouldn't take up any more floor space than what you have now. Also, the lid keeps it from being tempting for a future pet or toddler.

The towel idea is really smart! I don’t like getting stuff from lower cabinets but if it’s just something simple like towels to organize and pull out that makes it super easy. Bummer your hubby doesn’t like it!

A tip for laundry put the little cup you use to fill with detergent into the wash after u pour it instead of rinsing it. Got the tip from Tara Henderson here on KZfaq

I love how it looks without the door! Maybe a sliding barn door. 🤷🏽‍♀️ to give the laundry room a little privacy and you can keep it open or closed! I used a steam mop on the low setting and after 3 years it messed up my floors that I have(( not real wood)) 💜💜🌺🌺 thank you for the motivation!

Yes I had the “fake wood floor too and the steam mop messed it up. It’s like over time, it the steam “ate “ through the finish in certain spots and it looked awful and nothing could fix it.

I feel you on the postpartum hair loss 😢 our babies are a couple of days apart I think! I find my hair EVERYWHERE! I don’t know how I’m not bald yet. I was having the same issue with my trash can and what I ended up doing is buying the kit on amazon to turn a cabinet into those pull out trash cans. It’s great because it has two bins, one for trash and one for recycling!
