I always consider Kaliyo and Temple lower than Ashara, Akaavi's is actually a pretty sweet romance, she basically says it's something out of a fairytale(because of how rare love based marriage is in mandalorian culture), Risha is a bit too arrogant so I always rank Akaavi higher than her, Vette is definitely higher than dorne

Vette and Mission Vao are directly related via the head-canon of the voice actress that plays both of them.

@@NoblePlays I personally think her arc from beginning to end is the most fleshed out plus that girl goes to the ends of the galaxy for you. PLus most of the story romances end at KoTFE, You might get a small reunion scene but thats it. With Lana they are still adding stuff.

​@alanseymour675 While I am inclined to agree, Kira's arc leaves more room for character development. You see her as a troublemaker in her rebellious phase but once you get to know her she becomes more levelheaded. Lana's character arc just doesn't seem to do her justice since she's someone you fall in love with right off the bat. Relationships take time. Realism aside, the reason I haven't romanced Lana is because I was already in a relationship with Kira. She may be my Padawan but I refuse to betray that kind of trust.

@@NoblePlays My top three? Hmm... in no particular order, dark Jaesa, Ashara and Mako. The other female companions require a bit of strictness in their answers and you go more with their flow, especially Kira. She, essentially, begins luring you to the dark side, and she knows it, while also keeping her past a secret. For example, she KNOWS why Angral ordered her to not be killed. It's not until she's confronted by it, and asks for your blind trust, does she start to tell you a bit. The three I named though, you influence them. They follow your lead. You can toughen Mako up and she becomes "hardened" like Lilianna from Dragon Age. You can either use brute force, forbidden knowledge or the slippery slope of a hard choice to make Ashara fall. Then, depending on how you do it, can push forward. She becomes a true legacy apprentice, combining the teachings of both Sith and Jedi, even creating a somewhat new Code. She's not a Grey Jedi. She becomes something much more and it even carries over into your reunion with her. Added bonus of manipulating her to, pretty much, corrupt other Jedi to the dark side. Her strong self assurance that she's doing the right thing not only leads her astray, but dooms others. Light Jaesa would have you actually changing the Empire and even lying to your crew(though that bit with Pearce was funny). Kallig gets Ashara to see the necessity in how the Empire moves and even realize the Republic is too weak to negotiate for peace. Dark Jaesa gets a bad reputation. She's not psychotic. She was raised surrounded by politics, being able to see people's true nature, while watching none of them adhere to it. She was used to root out political enemies until "rescued" by the Jedi. Then the Jedi did the same, using her power as a crutch but telling her to not let it become a crutch. She used her power on her master and saw he was the same. She used her power on the Warrior and, for the first time, ever, she saw someone that was being true to himself. He was dark side, behaved as such, yet he exposed the truth within people, using pure insight. Even with her power, that wasn't something she could do. Where others were not being true to themselves, and trying to make her be what she wasn't, while using her power, the Warrior encouraged her to embrace everything she was, and didn't care about her power. She was finally free. She then took down the Sith that were being false, emulating her master. Where he became the Emperor's Wrath, she became the Dark Council's Wrath. All three of them were affected heavily by you. All three were weak, impressionable, in chains. Through you, all three were changed. They grew and became more capable. At the end of the class story, you wouldn't have to worry about them if you separated. You knew they could take care of themselves, as we later saw. Unlike the others though, it was thanks to you. Kira was still the same at the end of the story as she was in the beginning. You just learned her secret. Vette? It's a wonder how she survived until the beginning of the Warrior's story, let alone during your Carbonite nap. Then she's ALWAYS the victim. She's ALWAYS protected. She learns nothing and goes from one umbrella to another. Whenever she tries to do something on her own? Time to mount a rescue. She also doesn't change. Like seriously, through slavery, multiple times, chained to the Warrior, dragged across planets and bodies, finding out her sister is an enslaved prostitute, who then just chooses to prostitute on her own terms, find her mom only to see her lifeless body and all that other craziness, but she's just this super bright, cheerleading, ball of sunshine? That would actually seem more psychotic to me. I like Vette. She's funny. But that just doesn't add up when you think about it. In order to be considered one of the best companions, I'd say it's a character the player actually has to have some impact on. Otherwise, they're just like any of the other NPCs. It's just unfortunate that people tend to just pick in accordance to alignment and miss a lot of the nuance.
