I feel bad for Jack he's the most innocent member of the gang and in the end suffered the most because of it, most of the people he considered family are either dead or moved on and his parents are dead.

The patience he exhibited with Ross' wife and brother and didn't give them any indication he was going to kill him. The way he kept his motive so well hidden under good manners is pretty scary. haha not gonna lie.

Jack is truly alone if you think about it clearly. The other members of the gang didnt exist in 2010 and John, Uncle and Abigail all died and he has no surviving relatives.. So he's easily the most tragic character in the rdr series

to think Jack learned dead eye in 2 years shows how big of a vengeance he had. maybe he wasn’t as quick at Arthur or John but i guarantee you with the time Arthur and John had, Jack could out shoot both at once

Btw deadeye is gameplay mechanic the protagonist doesn't slow down time or doesn't watch in slow motion it just shows how fast arthur, John and Jack are at gunslinging

I viewed rdr1 story as more depression after playing rdr2, it went from whole van der linde gang to 1 more outlaw jack with his dead parents

I like that Jack learned a lesson from the past, he waited until he had no one left to use as leverage against him, then he began his revenge.

If there was a story about Jack Marston for RDR 3. I would say Jack would be probably the deadliest van der linde member. He is smart, can be charismatic, manipulation, grew up in the Wild West and the dying days of it and has good aiming with guns. He would probably be World War 1 solider but probably be more conflicted and lost than he was in 1911 and 1914. Jack still deals with the trauma and never letting go of Beechers Hope incident and him murdering Edgar Ross. I would say he would become a mobster or even the boss to it because he hates the law since the law used and killed his dad John and uncle. The Bureau of investigation is still hunting the man who killed Edgar Ross, where the public remembers him as a hero for killing John Marston, Dutch Van Der Linde, Javier Escuella, and Bill Williamson. Jack earning reputation probably gets the attention of the Bureau of investigation and the interest of the Edgar Ross murder investigation.

My theory is that Jack retired after putting the bullets into Ross and pursued his life normally. John never wanted Jack to follow his life into murdering innocent people and becoming a gunslinger same for Abigail.

@@Account-ow6rz thats a good theory but then again if you kill lawmen as Jack, he sounds like he has a personal vendetta against them since they killed John and Uncle. Plus he could have have been a WW2 solider even to the point of being in the mafia and all during the prohibition era. When he rises in the ranks of being in the mob, Maybe he becomes a wanted fugitive or the prime suspect for the unsolved Edgar Ross murder since Edgar Ross was viewed as a hero in the newspaper for “taking down the van der linde gang.”

@@youyou3172 Jack would never involve himself in a new gang he has already seen enough from his past and how it would lead to trouble. Also, I doubt Jack would go against the law unless it was personal, he hates the law because it's rotten but he isn't plotting anything against them. His revenge was personal for only Edgar Ross

Also, Jack doesn't put himself against the law unless it's necessary so he doesn't follow the lead of his father. The law won't be able to trace him as the killer since they don't have much information, only his appearance which he might have changed later on

Wouldn’t be shocked if Rdr3 is about Jack. “Revenge is a fools game” and as shown in this franchise actions do have consequences. People always claim for whatever reason that a Jack game would *need* to be mafia or ww1. I mean sure you could do that. Or just follow the Example of the 1914 Wild West styled Epilogue in Rdr1 and make a full game. As long as the game is designed to still feel like a Wild West game nobody’s gonna care about the year. If they did people would have been complaining ever since 2010 about the “unrealistic, inaccurate” nature of the 1914 Epilogue section. The Mafia’s prime years didn’t even start until 1920. America didn’t even get involved in WW1 until April 1917 and didn’t start drafting until May. So we got a few years to work with for Jack without overlapping anything else as long as we keep the story within 1914, 1915, 1916 and the early part of 1917. And none of the theories about Jack’s life after this game are 100% confirmed canon by Rockstar. So he could’ve died a Outlaw, a Soldier, just an average Joe, or a successful old man as far as we know. Personally, if his game ever does happen, I hope rockstar chooses the latter.
