Can we just appreciate whoever chose the soundtrack for this episode? I mean wow, it just enhanced this from a battle report to a cinematic masterpiece.

Edit: Apparently I did not account for people reading the comments before watching the video, so I'm going to push my apparently very spoilery comment down so that you have to click "Read More" to see it rather than delete it. Apologies to those who have apparently been spoiled by someone commenting on a video after they watched it and commenting on the content of said video. For as much as the Kroot seemed to be getting mulched, the fact that Nick still could have won on points at the end says a lot about the game. Being able to keep bringing back wiped units to essentially redeploy where needed was really what made this detachment tick it seems.

Dude Tycho’s army consists of some of the most beautiful chaos sculpts I’ve ever seen on a tabletop that is crazy.

I think that Farstalkers would be a good thing to add to the current list, as they have Lethal Hits and Precision against one unit from the enemy army. That unit combined with either a War Shaper or a Trail Shaper would probably be really good

I entered Auspex's March giveaway for this box and preordered it at my local store, and when Nick said "they look like a hoard army" in the codex review video, naturally I was stoked to see the incoming BatRep. And after the Kroot Kitbashing profiled on this page, I've been rumbling through my bits boxes and sprues

Now, Tau has a close combat option. Good on you, TauNick, Tycho, the psycho always entertaining to watch.

I have no idea what the daemon prince model is but its absolutely incredible. Two stunningly beautiful armies with great paint jobs. Amazing ravaged star proxies too, Minwargaming Dave would be so proud.

Damn, that is a nice looking table. The game looked like what would happen if a fully armed chaos marine army met Gungans. Brutal.

While Kroot are obviously the focus here, I just want to add that I recently started playing CSM using a Horus Heresy model based army and my god are they fun! I really love the dark pacts rule and the flexibility of models/loadouts makes them so fun to create. Also Abaddon is just so nasty - but I love watching CSM get played.

Kroot Army is cool, but I feel like they do need a Hammerhead and/or Skyray, or maybe a squad of Broadsides, sitting in the back to give them some of the heavy-weapon oomph that they lack.

I'm glad they fixed the dice box camera on Nick's first turn, it was bothering my brain having the dice displayed at an angle so you could see the faces other than the top face. 😅

ahh the Kroot duped into being fodder for the Tau' from the beginning.

Coming from a tau/kroot fan... That game was rough! They seem to be going for a squishy hoard army but without any tanky units or really powerful shooting/melee! Without maybe a greater gnarlock or a squad of lesser ones, I'm pretty sure the kroot will be relegated to a flashy and fun army with no competitive umpf. Stuck as the wall of bodies to add onto a "regular" tau fighting force. BUT, as a force you add onto an existing one, I think these guys have some AMAZING potential! Always fun to see the 2 most charismatic members of PlayOn having a good tussle. GO TYKO THE UNBREAKABLE! and Nicky the Risky! or maybe Nick the Bomb?

Fantastic game Nick and Tycho! Wow! Swap out for some broadsides, hammer head and/or crisis suits, to add some much needed high powered guns and this could be extremely competitive. Great game!

The tree is driving me crazy 😅 but otherwise fantastic job! Loved seeing the Veil Touched minis again. They are gorgeous sculpts and the Play On painting standard makes them incredible to look at.

I feel like it really hurts the kroot that they dont get the army rule. To have an army rule that basically doesn't work with one of the detachments at all feels a little bad. Let alone that the T'au already have fewer detachments than the rest of the released codexes.

Bruh, before I go in "SPOILERS "...... Nick you need to work on your roll arm my guy. I feel you could've put a hurt on the Chaos if some rolls played out correctly. With that being said I'm in luv with Kroot their so cool and I wanna see what they do if their assisted with some Crisis Suits. Like a Suit goes in puts damage in and Kroot come in out of the smoke and over welm the target. Or the Kroot do their damage and Suits drop in to make the save. The ideas I have from this video. I can't wait for more. I hope other army's get something now and not just the Space Marines cause they got everything at this point. Then again, I'm new to all of this and just learning from these videos. Awesome work guys as usual.

I was hoping the kroot would win, but a good name none the less

so this is for Mubin for a fun combo i found with the Thousand Sons Scarab Occult Terminators. so, first i pick Sustained hits 1 for all psychic weapons for my detachment ability. then i get my Scarab Occult Terminators 12" of one of your units i just want dead. Inferno-Combi Bolters have 2 shots each with Rapid Fire 2 and a range of 24", Rapid Fire 2 triggers cause that enemy unit is within half the range of the Inferno-Combi Bolters. so instead of 16 shots that 32 shots. then i spend a CP on a strategem on one that gives my ranged weapons psychic and strength 5. so that means the Inferno Combi-Bolters have sustained hits. then my Sorcerer in Terminator Armour picks that unit for his ability, so i re-rolls 1s to hit! then my Sorcerer in Terminator Armour has his other ability on the unit, Lethal hits! so that means thats 32 shots, Sustained Hits 1 (i get an extra hit on 6s) and Lethal Hits (means for each 6, that hit auto wounds) with re-rolling 1s! THEN I CAST THE RITUAL TO MAKE THAT UNIT NOT ABLE TO MAKE SAVING THROWS! THEN IF MY SCARAB OCCULT TERMINATORS ARE WITHIN 6" OF MAGNUS THEY ADD 1 TO HITS AND WOUNDS! THAT IS 32 SHOTS, HITTING ON 2s, LETHAL HITS, SUSTAINED HITS 1, AND +1 TO WOUNDS THAT NO ONE CAN SAVE!

It seems the kroot are pretty strong buy I feel they are a glass hammer. They are pretty neat over all! But I love me some chaos!

Finally, something other than shooty gundams. Glad to see the other half of the codex is getting used.

might Just be me but i didnt think the armies really popped on the table. Great paint on both sides but the darkness of the designs and the new models were really showcased when the 2 armies met.
