I think exactly this is going to happen or something similar. They’re going to cause something and it’s going to make Tarkin, and other in Imperial High Command go “Ok, no more clones”

If they all have mutations that gives them superpowers and makes them better than regular clones, then why are they even called defective or called the “bad” batch? By that logic, they’re the opposite of defective, because their mutations all give them superpowers with no negative side effects. The republic should’ve tried to harvest their mutated dna to make better clones instead of isolating them and calling them “defective”.

It seems that fanbase is largely split down the middle with her. The lore she introduced was easily up there with the best of the EU authors. Though she is "controversial" I can't blame her for leaving when she did all things considered.

She trashed Halo when writing it. It just became a “Fuck Halsey and her freak soldiers” Like, what?

@@strategist40k86 That's true, the Jedi (apart from Etain & the other one) were largely absent from the bulk of those novels, but I kind of rationalized it as being down to the fact that they (omega & delta) were doing so much potentially mutinous stuff (robbing Republic credits & planning to go AWOL), & they weren't carbon-copy/by the book clones. I never found myself thinking "Where's the jedi" when I read them, even though with other Clone Wars TV & books I much preferred the jedi/sidious/maul/force stuff to the mostly clone plots.

Kal Skirata is the best dad

The Republic Commando books were some of THE best "The Clone Wars" era expanded universe material. Omega/Delta-squads, Kal Skirata, Krimarut, "Mando" culture, & the pair of gloves one of 'em had made out of the hide of a Kaminoan, absolutely brilliant! I can't think of ANY other clone wars books that touch them (or even come close)! I read all of them over a 2-3 day period, cos I couldn't put 'em down! It's a mystery to me why Dismay has culled so many of these brilliant, classic Star Wars novelists (Karen Traviss, James Luceno, Drew Karpyshyn, Michael Stackpole, etc) in favour of the current creative black-hole they have the insolence to call a "story" group? I can only assume that these brilliant authors didn't have the right "socially-progressive" credentials, or had the "wrong" politics, or were too talented to be able to slink under a bar that's set 2inches above the ground. I sincerely hope that, one day, Star Wars might be brilliant again, but I don't think it's gonna happen. Outside of the Mandalorian, Dismay Star Wars is a steaming pile of 💩.

Case in point: the despicable justina ireland, whose disgraceful comments about white people would have doubtless led to criminal "hate-crime" charges, had their target been anyone BUT white people. The Dismay definition of "Star Wars fan" has become- sycophantic customer, happy to mindlessly consume ANY old garbage that has "Star Wars" on it, devoid of taste or discrimination. It's sad what has happened to Star Wars under Dismay, but this seems to be "way of the world" with EVERYTHING these days. In the UK, they're hard at work destroying every other longstanding classic show or franchise, Dr.Who being one of the best examples. They even retconned the character's origin story in order to make his original incarnation a black woman instead of "some old white guy". At the end of that travesty, viewing figures showed them losing sometimes a million viewers a week! Then, rather than ADMIT having ruined it themselves, they blamed the racism, sexism (etc) of the VIEWERS for NOT accepting their garbage writing & P.C. pseudo-"progressive" box-ticking! Same too with the live action adaptation of the Neil Gaiman "Sandman" thing, where the "Death" character originally portrayed as a chalk white goth chick is now a middle aged black woman! If I was black, I think I would be a little insulted by the lack of ORIGINAL (written AS) black characters, rather than think that a black Superman, or Dr.Who, etc, was ANY compensation for the lack of such original characters. But, what do I know,? As a middle aged, heterosexual white man, my opinion is worth LESS than nothing, & the very expression OF it is likely "hateful" & "intolerant" in the minds of these hateful & intolerant people.
