Jeremy, you have no idea how grateful I am that You share your work and passion here! Your thoughts go to a deeper level about the story of photography. For anyone interested in this topic, this is a real treat! Thank you very much for this! I would love to have the opportunity to sit down and talk to you about "images and tools" someday ;) If you ever want to visit Poland, the door of my apartment are open to you :) I wish you a beautiful new year! Thanks for sharing, you made this really entertaining. A very artsy and lofty presentation while still being grounded and relatable. Your line, "still being fascinated by sunsets", struck me with a feeling which I am struggling to put into words. My v2 summilux is being delivered today, so very excited about that. Ended up getting it on recommendation of you and a few other creators.

Great video! I don’t have as impressive a collection (Leica Q, Nikon FM2, Nikon D610, Nikon F100, Yashicaflex C, Yashicamat LM, and a bunch of lenses), but I feel the same emotional value for each.

This was awesome. You have quickly become one of my favorite KZfaq channels. We all enjoy gear. But you marry the love of gear with the art of photography. Your images have an ephemeral, quiet beauty to them. And your camera collection rocks. Makes me want to get back into shooting film. Keep up the great work.

Brilliantly conveived and executed video. Fabulous cameras and wonderful photographs.🏆👍 My two essential cameras would be my Canon VT Deluxe with a Voightlander 21f4 Color Skopar ltm for black and white and my Linhof 617s Technorama with a 90mm f5.6 Schneider Kreuznach Super Angulon MC for color transparency.

I think this may be the most enjoyable video for me that you have made. A hands-on personal journey, beautifully produced with superb examples of your gear in use, explaining your passion so well, elegant in words and images. It was an essay every photographer-artist should inspire to emulate in thought and their work. Ahh…, the Speed Graphic… reminded me my own photographic journey first started with this camera with a very basics classic photography course when I was 16-years old in High School - 4x5 B&W film and Marshall Oils painting for ‘color photography’ (hay, this was at that long ago time ;-). You didn’t mention a lens for that Leica MP ‘desert camera.’ My photography mentor inspired me with the Leica M4 and v3 50mm Summicron he always had with him. I’ve had a v2 35mm Summilux with me now for 50+ years, and knowing its strengths and flaws so well the one lens that could be called my ‘signature’ lens, and of course the classic and beautiful form following function Leica M4 which has been with me just as long. I love the 6x6 square, and the Rolleiflex F 3.5, amazing lens matched with medium format, handling, classic German designed beauty, every imagine made has the potential to be ‘Art’ [if only the person behind the camera was better], and would be a good pairing 2nd or [hard to choose] only camera. All the Best in your continued journey and love your work with heart!

Thank you Jeremy for sharing yourself, your work, and for presenting your favourite tools with so much passion, even the ones that wouldn't be with you on a desert island. Now I have two questions: the first is obvious, what did you picture with the speedgraphic? I don't have a clue. Second, have you ever felt you had the wrong camera with you? I've just came home from a skiing trip and my Olympus OM4 didn't appreciate the freezing temperature.
@jeremy-t
@jeremy-t 6 ай бұрын
Thank you! Haha! To the first, the picture made with the speed graphic was off a handrail in a staircase of my childhood home. To the second, perhaps not when I'm out shooting, but leading up to a trip / project, the decision of what to commit to sometimes can get difficult. Do I continue on an existing body of work with 4x5? Or... Square? Or... small format.. The list goes on.. But once that decision is made, and I'm out, I find myself locked into the choice and I don't really think about the "should / could haves" because I'm too focused on being in the moment. Also, the context of the above is more-so in terms of format / focal length, not really reliability, like you faced with the OM4! On trips I've found it needful to bring a spare body and a dark bag.. I've had accidents happen too many times not to learn from those experiences - film rolls tearing in half in my camera while film advancing etc.
