Ooh I didn't know about the Arena Ultimax line, that does make it a bit cooler. Though, I'm up in the air on whether it's an intentional reference, considering the "There you have it" line in Ultimax is delivered in Japanese in the original audio, yet the original text in Reload is written in English. Intentional or not though, it's an interesting fact.

I honestly assumed that the date would take longer and it would end with her trying to go up the down escalator. So she goes down the up elevator and then tries to go up the down one I just hope any content they might add regarding Liz or towards the end of the game doesn’t destroy the original’s meaning and ending.

@@BelBelle468 Yeah, that's fair. I think we at least get something like extended last date from OG and movies combined for beautiful conclusion with Liz. In anyway PV marketing was good so far, i think.

I wouldn’t be opposed to even more Liz stuff, cuz she’s amazing. If they want to do a proper conclusion to Liz’s arc, I feel like a remake of vanilla P3 wouldn’t be the right place. Especially since they’re ignoring the content that establishes Liz’s arc in the first place. Honestly? I’d be more into them finishing off Liz’s arc in the upcoming persona party game. Liz being the mc of a party game fits her well lol

It can be assumed some of the link events are adapted from the official drama CDs, anime movies, and novels, which shows more characterization of the main cast. Some important characters like Kikuno and Labrys were introduced through the CDs, later on formally debuts and relevant in the P3 generation lore and follow up narratives. Kikuno debuts in Full Moon/New Moon drama CDs, later a proper appearance in Arena, even appears in the anime movies. Arena might have some allusions/references, in terms of characters all out attack finishing touches and Theurgia attacks. Since Arena gives more details regarding anti shadow weapons and artificial Persona users, it's possible to at least add a bit of lore into Reload, but not too much to encourage players to play/read Arena Ultima remaster. Though it still stands how the experiments being the root cause of the battles and suffering the current generation faced, it even extends to another generation, as the Inaba Investigation Team were dragged into battle again.

I never noticed they hinted at it in P3D, granted, it's been so long since I last played it compared to the arena games lol. The general idea I had was that for Junpei, they hinted at sports, which ended up being his future career. Maybe they can do that with everyone else. Some characters would probably be difficult to make a phrase for with this mindset, but it would be pretty cool to see them implement them that way as a sort of symbolic gesture to show what they are fighting to experience in their lives. Plus it could be really cool foreshadowing for some specific characters (me dodging spoiler discussions before I get eaten alive by commenters.)

I don't think it's all that big a deal considering you still have the option to fuck up and move on, in the original you could always reload after fucking up, this just streamlines that process. Especially in things like 100% if you're following a guide and couldn't be fucked to reload and replay the same part of the game you just played because you messed up one thing

The "The Journey" Main Story will probably be the same in its plot (and ending) as Original games, while at the same time adding and combining (adapting to the Reload) all of best content from all of all official Main P3 Media that makes characters and narrative even better. Well and then its Atlus, somehow i know they will do Reload "The Answer" eventually (and im all for it personally) lmao. So maybe same here too, as we discussed. Its all just their usual business strategy to start clean and milk later. I swear this game is already kinda a bad product, especially with this shitty limited pre-order P4G DLC situation, very sad to see. FEMC situation is kinda the true upsetting point since its like whole New Game still waiting to be Remade as the PC port was lackluster to say the least.
