I like that idea but I feel like Ken would fit Robin Hood more cuz of the fact that Robin Hood feels more like Akechi’s idea of a hero as a child, which fits who Ken is. Whereas Shinji’s aesthetic is darker and would fit Black Mask outfit more. Either way tho, them sharing Akechi’s outfits seems very appropriate.

yes, it will be more interesting. now you get to choose which card would benefit you in the next battle, or maybe possibly combination of arcana card. say like fools + justice makes new combine effect just like resident evil healing system.

I don't have a problem with it at all, to me as long as the general atmosphere and mood of the story stays intact the style only serves as extra flair.

I mean some of those ppl r claiming that the 3D models transitioning to 2D images at the end of a battle is too much like persona 5. It seems like any artists merits P5 added is “too much” for them. The game feels like P3. Just cus they decided to add some cute visuals doesn’t mean it’s relying too much on P5. It’s just cuz P5 was so unique, but it’s like they’ve ignorant to the fact P5 took like 4 years to develop. Maybe ATLUS just wants P5’s UI concept to be for all games going forward. That other new ATLUS game from the same devs as P3-5 has unique UI too. It’s pretty clear what the idea is.

i can understand where they are coming from i LOVE the style they put in this game but i do think certain parts could’ve been changed to still have the style but fit the tone of the game more (mostly talking about the end screens) For me the gameplay changes are my problem for a similar reason. they are leaning too hard on getting rid of gameplay mechanics that made the game special. they are trying to to make the game less rough and more accessible but i don’t think they are doing that in an elegant way. the changes to tartarus were a good example of how to do it well. keep the randomness and keep the monotony, but add some extra fun bits to make it feel more fun and modern. most of the other changes have NOT done this. shift i can understand since it was in p5 but doesn’t really mesh well with the theming of the game (and COMPLETELY changes how the battle system plays it’s really not a small thing). getting rid of the tired mechanic makes sense at first as a lot of players didn’t like it but it really was a unique and cool way to make you balance out your days without outright forcing you like p5 does at some roadblocks. i wish they kept this and just modified it to be more fun. finally split up being gone just sucks it was one of the most fun parts about dungeon crawling and really kept that feeling of you being a leader but not really “close” to the other party members. checking in with the other battles was fun and really made the characters feel independent. of course non controllable party members also did this but i fully understand why this was changed but it sucks that features like split up and shift completely wipe the idea of this cast being more distant. it’s a lot more like persona 5 and i can understand the appeal of that but at the same time persona 3 is so unique and admittedly rough around the edges but i really do think that’s where the charm comes from. Again i wish they handled these changes of keeping it “rough” but modern the same way they changed tartarus. i’m not at all hating on it btw! i completely understand seeing all of these things as amazing changes it’s just to me the additions aren’t worth it with the things they removed.

@@superl8296 you’ll have to clarify what gameplay changes you find are bad in more detail. What does shift do that undermines the theming? Switching turns doesn’t undermine anything. How much does it change fights? Especially since they’ve confirmed shifts don’t do anything but swap turns (you don’t get any power increases or anything apparently). I agree that fatigue should’ve remained, as it worked for gameplay and theming and toilet mechanics were fun. Splitting up the party is not confirmed missing as screenshots suggest otherwise. Remember ppl’s experiences with demos doesn’t ensure the game lacks features since they’re not going to be putting everything into a demo since it’s literally just demonstrating some new features and not all of it. You probably shouldn’t start hating until confirmation for features being removed are confirmed.

Strange, because as a guy who lives in the US of A, all I've seen are the Aigis editions, not the armband. Unless Japan gets both which is no suprise... Japan gets everything...

While technically not impossible based on what we know, I would be surprised if songs like the victory theme were being included solely for Fuuka's BGM feature when they're nothing more than short loops, also it would be a surprisingly awful DLC offering & exclusive pre order bonus, even for Atlus standards. Also also, if it were for Fuuka's BGM, the inclusion of only battle music in the DLC would be odd, in the original game, the P1&2 tracks were not battle themes. I would stake quite a bit on it being battle music.

​@@ScreenmentsThere's only two though, and one is a pre-order exclusive. Who's to say these battle songs can't be optionally played while exploring? They're incredible and beloved parts of their respective games. I think it's up in the air personally, a 50/50 split on what they choose to do. I always lean towards ATLUS doing the dumb thing than the cool thing, because they've consistently proven that's what they like to do.

The BGM is listed separately from the outfits though, and what do you mean "too lazy too remove" those aren't the same assets from P5, they would have to include it in this new engine to remove it in the first place, they are in an entirely new engine, your comment doesn't even make sense. You really aren't giving Atlus much credit. I know Atlus can make dumb decisions, but even them would figure it out having the music still tied to the outfits while having separate bgm for them would frustrate fans.

@@joaolima7131 good point. Do they specifically say “I found the stairs” or “there’s the stairs”? I can’t remember too well but it seems pretty dumb of them to claim to find it if they’re with everyone else. I hope the mechanic remains tho. P3 had a lot of unique mechanics that should be retained and that feels integral to its identity.

Yeah I can't really think of any unique game mechanic that will come from the SEES armbands other than the SEES members getting more armored up and protective gear as the game progresses. Start out in their "regular" school uniforms with their SEES armbands, Evokers and holsters. By the time Fuuka joins, they get more SEES gear. Gloves, utility belt, harnesses. A couple months pass and they get armored gloves, elbowpads and kneepads. End game they get body armor.

@@ma.2089 cant wait to get armageddon + victory cry, but knowing atlus, they will give satanael the gun move from the final boss on par with myriad truths, give him victory cry and make him summonable for free at lvl 1. i dont think im gonna buy the dlc, not until it goes on sale and ive already beat the game

If people want to cheese the game, they’ll do it in any way possible, whether it be playing on Safe difficulty or using the content _given_ to them for paying extra. Not everybody is a purist like we are, especially not nowadays with how easy P5R’s “Merciless” difficulty was. The only way that game is in any way difficult is by using self-imposed limitations. I hope P3R isn’t the same way, but it very well could be. This new generation of gamers grew up on participation trophies. If the game is too hard, they lose that audience. 🤷🏾‍♂️

The revolver looked nice but it was annoying after a while and not efficient. I understand the complaint regarding the shooting animation being too quick, but the fact the UI animates like a gun with the chamber coming out. It’s still there.
