The infected are now broken. They are aggroing from way too far away. 🤦‍♂️

I could be wrong here but it feels like the zombies can hear you from further away now when you are walking inside of a building maybe in general

The little backpack that attaches to what used to be called the Smersh vest also protects items from being damaged when attached to the vest

That gun should have had a actual sniper scope.

SV-98 does less damage than the other bolt action rifles despite firing the same bullet as the mosin??.. I love balancing….

I have not seen it said anywhere but zombie behavior seems to have changed. Ever since the update I keep having it where I aggro a few zombies, run into a a building and wait for them to de-aggro. But they never de-aggro. They stay in their alert phase. I stayed for 1/2 an hour in a apartment top floor and 8 or zombies just ran back and forth along the front of the building with no other player around.

I hope they add the 1p69 scope that was specifically designed for the sv98

I found several SSGs in berezino the other day though, and its been that way since i bought the game last year. Find em in Kamy, Elektro, Cherno, police stations all over coast.

Ambient music is amazing! Reminds me of arma 2 mod days.

Considering the game aims to achieve a sort of realism vs fun balance, I would like for them to add an inventory mechanic where you can’t access what’s in the backpack unless you take it off your back and place it in hands/ground. This would make it more immersive and change the meta, since 1. other players can visually see what you’re doing 2. You would be more vulnerable while sorting, looting and stealing. 3. you can’t just run around and reach for stuff in there. 4. One would actually need to be more tactical about it. Like, placing stuff you need in a pinch in your jacket and pants pockets such as ammo for example. The only exception to this would be those small sling backpacks, since in real life, one can easily access stuff from inside as you move. And it also serves as a trade off that adds balance: Easy access but less space, or lots of space but inconvenient in other ways.

Are you sure they didn't fiddle more with Zombie AI? Now they get triggered much easier. I had pretty good muscle memory on sneaking around them and basically never killed them, but after the update they started swarming me :o

Funny, all the sounds that didn't change the distance at which they could be heard, are sounds that are too loud and can give you away. Another great example of favoring [REDACTED] over realism, or even fun :]

The ambient sounds are so insane

Something needs be mentioned about zombies on the new patch they aggro from way much further away and you can seem to sneak up on them and knife attack from behind they turn around and aggro as soon as you are close I’ve had zombies aggro at me from 50m away

i was so hoping they would add the pks-07 when they announced the sv-98 a 7x for the vsd/ak would be so cool

I found vitamins on a NBC zombie , never have before, and also noticed my character on the start screen can move now at least just his legs

The choice to have the music be so sporadic is kind of perplexing to me with it being totally toggleable. I'd rather it be more frequent than play only like four times in a typical play session. Maybe it would be a good idea to play it upon entry to a new area.

Also idk if it’s a bug but zombies can hear u crouch walking now crouch WALKING NOT JUST CROUCH RUNNING BUT WALKING….. also zombies seem beefed up now for some reason. Look at y’all’s audio bars at the bottom left corner while u are crouching. It’s two bars while crouching walking and three While crouch sprinting. If use to be one bar while walking and two while running in crouch

The infected not getting you stuck seems to work good. Have saved myself from being knocked out by being able to escape a couple infected jam-ups since the update. Before i remember 1 infected could get you stuck not anymore. Like I said multiple infected swarmed my a couple times since update and ive been able to get away after getting stuck . It is not perfect but it is as perfect as I think we all can hope for. Occasionally I imagine players will get stuck by multiple infected but I feel like it would have to be like 3-4 or more infected

For me the ambient music is one of the best things added in recent patches. I absolutely love it and it adds so much to the whole post apocalyptic vibe of the game.

So disappointed that there was no dupe fix for consoles. The bases may be gone but they’ll be back by the end of the day. It’s hard to even play on servers due to lag in major cities.

As of 28/05/24 on the official DayZ website they haven't given a date for the console update. No timeframe provided either i.e. day, week or month

I don’t know if you’ll ever read this but at the moment I don’t know what they did to the game but players footsteps are just not a thing anymore apparently because I’ve been having the issue over the past three days now everybody I played with same issue you can’t hear people as much as you could before the update it’s like people can just run up on you without making a sound now even if they’re full sprinting they broke footsteps sounds in the game after doing whatever they did

How would the soundtrack compensation be available for owners of the dayz console version of livonia ?

So the SV98 is worse than the mosin? Thats a little disappointing I think I'd prefer it be harder to find (T4 or toxic) and slightly better than the mosin. Its a shame that both the Svannah and SV98 ended up being less exciting than the guns that were already in the game Thanks for the video dude!

If we can’t safely hide precious items and our magazines & clips these devs are gonna have to add some type of vest with magazine, clip, bullets, and suppressors chambers to protect it while still having access when needed.
