Thomas Meta it’s a reference to an ongoing manga (and anime) called jojo’s bizarre adventure which has been running more or less since 1886, and the anime has been running since 2012. The manga is divided into eight parts, four of which are fully adapted into anime that you can watch start to finish right now, the fifth part is being animated right now. The parts are called, phantom blood, battle tendency, stardust crusaders, diamond is unbearable, golden wind, stone ocean, steel ball run, and jojolion. This was a reference to phantom blood and battle tendency in which the ability of hamon is introduced. Hamon is basically channeling the power of the sun by breathing in a specific way. Hamon is used mainly by overdrives which are barrages of hamon that do specific thing. Hamon can be used to cure the body as shown with its first apearance. I am insinuating that wii fit trainer is a hamon user as her down special gains her back health and her neutral special harnesses the power of the sun. So in short yes this was a jojo reference.

Hideki Kamiya is a man though and he was the one giving instructions on how she was supposed to be designed. I guess it depends on who you wanna give more credit here Never really saw her as a female power fantasy, but quite frankly, her appeal escapes me entirely. She then designed Bayo's look, right down to her using her hair as her clothing and source of power, and had a large influence on Bayo's personality. About the only thing Kamiya contributed to the character of Bayonetta was to request that she have glasses - ironically, as a way to tone down Bayo's sexiness. So yeah, I'd definitely say Bayo's a female power fantasy.

She apparently gave her longer legs to make her more appealing from her original draft while Kamiya wanted her to have glasses to make her look intelligent and mysterious(though the artist assumed he just likes women with glasses). He wanted to avoid giving her cleavage as he found it unattractive and generic. And they both seem to love her. She's Shimazaki's favourite character and Kamiya's ideal woman. Well, I'm really not a woman, so I have no clue what's empowering to them. She just doesn't do it for me which is probably why I usually dismiss her so easily. But they apparently wanted her to look unique and to stand out and she does that, so I give them that.

She's also canonically very powerful and independent. She gets what she wants. Think of it as a female super hero. Kind of like a personality 'role model'. I've played and loved both her games. I've also seen praise of the use of sexual themes, since there aren't many games that use them and normally and carelessly as her games (as it should be, we're all humans) and sometimes make them even a bit funny or absurd. I must say that, to a normal public, this sometimes doesn't mix well with the gore themes. I don't mind it at all; I know this is a game and I play it to have fun with the incredible fight engine.

Why would athiests be offended by that? They're arguably more level-headed and rational than theists says this biased individual on the internet.

HiImBilly That's true, but Green has no alt skin that references the Gen 4 female trainer. The one being used in the video is the Gen 5 female trainer, Hilda. Red got the Gen 4 representation, since he has an alt that references the male trainer.
