Great to have you back at my desk (read: kitchen table), and sharing a coffee remotely. I love Jowo nibs for their reliability (IME), and easy swappability, to the extent that i now get frustrated with pens that don't have a Jowo mount 😄

This is good, useful info, thanks to you and also Jowo. Yay to Jowo for making their nibs more readily available.

Yay! A new video from you! Love your videos and perspective on fountain pens!

In heraldic terms, the bear standing like it is on the nibs would be "rampant," like the lion and unicorn of the UK. 😁 Nice getting to see the variety you have! You're not the only one who has issues with the LAMY steel nibs. There's several others who say they regularly have a 20% fail rate getting them. Mechanical "tests" that just shows that it makes a mark on paper isn't really of much value, IMO.

Joanna Basfords coloring books tend to be usable with fountain pens - that's how I color them and I've never had bleed or show through unless using full fire hose nibs

Yay! You're back!! Glad to see you and hope all is well. I have JoWo nibs on my TWSBI's, i think? Those i like. There's also one on my new Estie and it sucks. For now it seems the shop is helping us resolve the issue, and I have tried another Estie once and that was lovely!

Thank you for saying you don’t like Lamy steel nibs! I thought I was crazy and I keep trying to see what everyone loves about the Lamy Al Star but I just can’t. I don’t like the nibs at all. So it’s made me not get any more expensive Lamy pens.

I prefer Bock to Jowo. #5 semiflex Schmidt is my favourite though

I enjoy the Jowo nibs I have in various pens. I usually prefer F, EF, and medium (in that order).

I do like the "elastic" nibs that you can find on Leonardo pens which are far more responsive that the "Omniflex" nibs found on Conklin and Monteverde pens.

No stub example... I was holding out for that. I do buy Jowo's from other enthusiasts and have played around grinding them into different tipping conformations. I will go to the "shop" to see their offer variations. Have bought loose Bock inserts, too (all the #250 insert standard - because it seems to have the highest compatibility with pen bodies among Bock units.)

I’ve not tried a gold EF, but do like the steel EF nibs.

They should have sent the latest BB nib to let you test along side all these! I only have the broads, both were somewhat overpolished and had to be sent to a nibmeister, they are now lovely broad cursive italics The fine/ef look nice, might pick them up as i want finer nibs these days

by a lot a lot a lot of nibs, & (once again) a lot of nibs, i understand a little more than just 8 nibs

Nice... I never knew JoWo is a company from Berlin. I visited the city with my son last summer and would have loved to buy a pen with with a bear logo nib on it as souvenir. It looks I might be visiting the city again this month. Can I buy the nib (or a pen with the nib), with the bear logo, somewhere in the city?

Interestingly, today Dr. Brown posted a video on changing nibs, how and why and so forth. Are you sharing input, or is there some additive in the Canadian water? Regardless, good to see you posting again.

I'm sorry, but the bear has not always captured the hearts of Berliners.

But why almost every jowo nib has a too much feedback and need too much work so as to be smoothiest?😊

Hello Madam, Do you have any of your fountain pens (old or new) lying down without use, can you sell it to me for a lesser price or gift me ? Here in India, this hobby is very expensive to carry on! Sorry if this offends you.
