Hey guys, Todays video is another installment of the Tier List Series. Today's episode is on the second half of the MBTA Orange Line Stations ranked on the Tier List. Part 2 covers the stations of Downtown Crossing, State Street, Haymarket, North Station, Community College, Sullivan Square, Assembly, Wellington, Malden Center And Oak Grove. A “mild” annoyance I have about state street. There’s no elevator (that I could find) at the Old State House entrance, which makes it so much fun when you’ve just gotten off a plane and are trying to lug a suitcase up the stairs. - some tourist

Yeah. There is elevator for State North (state house entrance). However there is an elevator for the blue line platform. If you use this method you can still get to the Orange line platform by walking

Wellington is definitely number 1 for the exact reasons you mentioned. Now, going back in time, I'd would rate them as follows: S: Dudley, A: Forest Hills, B: Green Street and Northampton, C: Dover, and E: Egleston. I gave Dudley an S because of the history behind it and because of the loud, sharp curve approaching on the Oak Grove bound side. You could just see the history in that old station.

Also yeah Haymarket station is kinda boring itself, but it's a vibe overall. U can get out and go to the actual haymarket, where they have great donuts and other food, you can go to faneuil hall, and it's just nice to be in. I do agree that as a station it kinda sucks tho

Nick, I know this would be a lot, but maybe an idea for a future video would be to rank the red line stations by tier, or the blue line.

I got to say assembly row it's the best orange line track and the perfect view of the commuter rail and the Orange line itself too.

My tier list S: Green, Mass Ave, Roxbury Crossing, Assembly and Downtown Crossing A: Malden Center, North Station, State, Stony Brook and Wellington B: Haymarket, Tufts, Sullivan Square, Oak Grove and Ruggles C: Back Bay, Community College and Forest Hills D: Chinatown E: F: Jackson Square

S is because of the design and railfanablity A: State because I use to get on that stop every day and I liked the multi colored wall. Malden Center Because of the commuter rail railfan The rest are design wise B: Mostly just design and how spacious C: Because of the rail fan ability, except for Back Bay D: When I was younger, I would always ride to a station and ride back, I don’t want to pay twice F: The deaths and mysteries of Jackson Square

nick i also live in boston . I grew up loving the T . I also like to ride the train sometimes for fun to see all the differentt stops.

2:33 I know another really nice curve shot that you can get. This one is on the red line. This curve shot is at the far end of the alewife platform at south station.

The set up at State Street is confusing. When I went on my first train ride back when I was really young, we couldn’t find the way to the Forest Hills-bound platform and we had just got off the Blue Line to get on the Orange Line to Downtown Crossing. We were on the way to Ashmont to ride the historic Mattapan Trolley Line.

the test track was planned as an express track. however they only built the orange to oak grove. commuter rail fills that role instead.

What can you rank these stations from the Charlestown Elevated? North Station (1901-1975): City Square Station: Thompson Square Station: Sullivan Square Station (1901-1975): Everett Station (1919-1975):

Technically I can’t rank them since I can’t input my opinion on what it’s like. Those stations are long gone (the elevated ones at least) so it woul be solely based on images I find which isn’t enough for me at least.
