All The Pieces - Recorded for Good For Your Soul but dropped. The video says demo but I realise now this is actually a rough mix of the final recording, probably a guide vocal track.
There's an interview somewhere where Danny says he wrote a couple songs for GFYS that he thought would be hits but "grew bored" of them before they finished recording, All The Pieces was probably a single that never was.

I love Oingo Boingo so so much, Danny Elfman is such a genuine talent. But what the actual fuck was he thinking with the track lists for the albums. I swear on every album the cut songs are superior to the ones actually on the album!

@@Vcxnt_dracxlaV Cry of the Vatos is something we definitely both agree on. It has some appeal, but as the only instrumental track on that album, and for it to literally be placed randomly in the list, it's just pointless. Maybe they thought this sounded too much like GFYS, but I think it would've complemented that track well.

@@yourfairyking Cry of the Vatos is a really funny joke, but that's all it is. Once you know that, there's really not much else to get out of it, unlike a lot of other songs on the album. Like, surely they could've done it more like Prince did on Darling Nikki (three days before GFYS released btw), where it was just a 30 second bit at the end of a song.

Im pretty sure this one is the album recording rough mix, the drums are clearer on this while the demos all sound pretty crunchy and splashy. But really I have no way of knowing for sure on this one as the source was all jumbled up and I didnt have access to the tapes themselves

I would cough up so much money for the audio to be upscaled and remastered, I know the master taped were lost in a fire but so much of Boingo's "lost" catalog needs to be put in better audio quality

The master tapes were confirmed to be not lost in the fire, other than 1 Boingo song which was discovered the stereo mix was lost (no known reason why)

We try to use always the best available tape sources and to master our tracks to restore tape degredation where possible. This transfer is much closer to the original tape speed/pitch than that other upload.
