I’m loving learning the Shami dialect. Having learned how to count in MSA, it is so much more enjoyable in dialect and less cumbersome. I do find it sad that out of 1.4k views, only 96 people took the time to give it their appreciation. Producing good content takes time and effort. Let’s show more support by at the least, pressing the like button and at the most also subscribing.

So, you said when the nouns are NOT mentioned, use feminine forms of the numbers. Is it the same for the numbers 1 and 2 as well? For example, "how many girls are there? -واحدة... like this?

1 and 2 we always match the gender of the noun even if it's not mentioned.

Ahlan mudarrissa, one thing I learnt from this video in addition to its other very useful content, is how to ask & reply about the duration of an event using the expression قديش المدة؟ qadesh el-med-deh? which literally means "How much (is) the duration?" or simply "How long?" For example, قديش مدة المؤتمر؟ qadesh med-det el-mo2tamar? = How long's the conference/For how long will be the conference? OR in a restaurant قديش المدة حتى جهز الأكل؟ =How long until the food's ready? Am I correct ustaadha Manar?
