Omg that is so much easier than when I did my daughter's birthday 3 tiered cake 😫. That was 3 yrs ago and I think we are still finding sprinkles in the kitchen lol. Amazing technique!!!

This technique worked great for me. It isn't easy but having the box under the turntable helped a lot. I could not see trying to roll my six-layer explosion cake and having any chance of getting sprinkles on it without the whole cake sliding apart. I put it back in the refrigerator as suggested, used gloves to gently press the sprinkles in, and everything came out beautiful.

Use a plastic deep container. The sprinkles bounce off metal I found.

This worked well but I also had a deep sided plastic container to do the sprinkles in. Used a turntable with the cake on it and had heaps of sprinkles. I was delighted as I am no professional.

Hi guys, just wanted to say Thanku, baked a birthday cake for the first time, due to no availability at local bakeries, followed all your videos and I think I didn’t do too bad, plssss so state what gas mark to use too, as I have a gas mark oven, btw the cake tasted scrumptious 👍, I wish I could add the pic too

AmmyBelle probably smaller ones as they’ll leave less gaps on the cake. If you wanna use large sprinkles, I’d mix them with smaller sprinkles so the whole cake gets covered. Hope that helps and makes sense :)

Hey, I am actually making a sprinkle cake this weekend and I am afraid that sprinkles may "bleed" into the cake or start to sweat and run into each other or the cake. I will also be storing in the fridge in a cardboard box with a lid. Is this ok to do and how can I avoid "bleeding" thanks so much.

Yyyeeesss!!! For example in the UK the Dr Otker sprinkles are a reallyw weird colour mix ; brown pink orange yellow green . Like ??? I still havent been able to find a normal coloured mix ! ( apart from online obvs)

Find a local cake decorating shop and you should be able to buy individual colour boxes of sprinkles

And you have to put it in the batter at the very end, mix JUST A TINY BIT and reeeeally carefully, pour it in your cake pan asap and than inside the oven

lucy keable maybe! In us the sprinkles are different. I’ve never tried where i live (brazil), but i heard a few people saying that the sprinkles in us have some kind of “protection”, i didnt really get it
