The "CA" is a little power house of a tractor, in this video one can why. It handles the baler and hay rack with ease.

I'm picking up my first tractor... An Allis CA tomorrow. I was thinking of a d17 but with gas prices, I had to ask myself if I really needed a 65 horse tractor for a lil brush hog. A lot of guys would claim a CA is too small for baling. But... You're doing it AND pulling a trailer. Love it.

Ur 303 makes a nice looking bale & that well weighted CA moves right along w/ it. Thanks for the video.

Great video of the CA earning it's keep. Although, the governor is surging. It's probably missing the anti-surge spring on the throttle linkage. Very common problem. They rust away.

Excellent video, especially the hawk-eye views. Beautiful country also. Enjoy all your CA videos.

Good job! Your baler looks a lot like my vintage New Holland 69. I use mine every year and it works wonderfully.

Give that poor girl a hay hook! Looks like she was running her but off trying to keep up, the kid stacking was doing a good job too!

The hook is on the baler but she didn’t want to use it.

I had a 302 for a while. Couldn't get the darned thing to tie decent. Figured out the knotters were worn down to nothing & couldn't find parts at the time. Sold it to a gentleman that was coming back from a big AC show in Minnesota. The baler now resides in Oklahoma. Kudos to the youngsters for helping out. I noticed they weren't wearing gloves. Good! Darned things get in the way anyhow.

Sorry to hear you had issues. Just about all of the knotter parts are the same as New Holland. I think the only difference is Allis used a gear that had one more tooth compared to New Holland.

Great Video! 2 thumbs up. I have one and it's in pretty good shape. I have never baled with it or any other baler so I am learning as I go. I will probably be asking some questions if that is ok. Especially about the knoters and timing. Do you have any videos of you working on the Baler? Thanks.
@The1952caallis4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I’ve never had to work on the knoters. No videos of any work being done. I’ve been running this baler for 21 years and the only issue I’ve had to work on was the pickup. The slip clutch failed to slip and the pressure was so great on the pickup cam that the cam broke.

Good video Dennis but get the better half a hay hook to drag those bales out of the shoot.

Where do you source your parts for that baler? I have heard many new holland parts will work but wasn’t sure. The knotters on the 303 are a bit different in the gears than most modern balers. Just curious if you have done any updates to it or not.
@The1952caallis2 жыл бұрын
The only part of the Baler that I had to work on was the clutch on the pick up and all those parts were available through AGCO.

My first tractor was my uncle George’s CA. I tried to bale with it but the governor would “cycle” every time the plunger stroked, sounds like yours does as well in the beginning. The other option is to run it full throttle like you did later and that’s to fast. The other one across the road would have been better. You got the rake tractor and the baling tractor backwards dude. Now I have a 190XT turbo diesel.
@BobRobitaille5 күн бұрын
How about putting the lady on the tractor and you buck the bales? Also, double up them wind rows so you can slow the tractor, baler and wagon down instead of bouncing the workers all around.

I have never run anything smaller than a WC. seems like it has a lot of zip for a little tractor
@The1952caallis3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the CA has more hp than the WC.
@OnePieceTractor3 жыл бұрын
@@The1952caallis I really thought it was a Lil different version of the B. I've had several WC. WD and 45
@The1952caallis3 жыл бұрын
Most people do. Allis added power shift wheels, 4 speed transmission, same capacity hydraulic pump as the WD and WD-45, hand clutch and more hp.

She needs to wait longer for the bale, she also needs a baleing hook. She's working way to hard
