I have a Brunswick like at 3:10. I believe it's an early one. The Cinch at 4:10 is about 1914-1916. Nice sleeve at 6:30 too! I must admit I do like the odd Layton and Johnstone like at 15:50. Got a few Gracie Field's too. Some are definitely better than others. Good selection as usual and thanks for the video. 👍😀

Thanks mate, I like a good sleeve too, might go back and rescue the sleeve... ;) I try and get into Gracie but think I keep finding the wrong songs or like the last one worn way too much...

well you got a lot of casual stuff this time around. Got some Ambrose and Crosby as well. That Cliftophone one.. or Cliftophone Brunswicks in general are quite Rare. But on a scale of 1-5 for desirability, its about a 4. If you want a good book for reference and such on different big bands and such, I highly recommend George T. Simon's book The Big Bands. It has over 200 bandleaders, 50 of which have multiple pages on it. You can get it for about $40 USD here. Plus for some of the smaller bands, it has little paragraph synopsis for them. So it lets you explore them.

I don't suppose I can interest you in loooooads more 78s lol this is great fun! If you think this is bad you don't want to see my record shed, My opinions are only opinions don't get offended lol yeah that organ record is rubbish, dumped it too! I can take or leave late 30s Ambrose discs de grute, love him! my sort of boring rubbish. That's a reasonably early one I think. I have most of his discs. bruns cliftophones are the earliest brunswicks, pre 1928ish. Be warned I like it but you might find it dull as dishwater! Cinch: 1913ish, old and early and that is a pretty boring Cinch disc, most of the ones I've had are militery bands, ragtime or music hall. ooh that hmv of don't bring loulou is c. 1926, good one! Danny Kay, common but fun! V. Silvesta: dull but look for his jive band sides! Lanza: no not for me either! Billy Cotton: his regal zonos are good, deccas are a bit dull but there are some hilarious titles! R. Crooks: ah, sweet mystory of life is no longer mysterious, it is the most common of all his discs. lol Charlie Cunz, they're all as dull as you're imagining! Tony Brent fancied himself as a british Eddie Fisher, snoring already I like accordions! I'd have kept that for fun bloody Bing. Really? though brother can you spare a dime took me a very long time to find and his early 30s discs are unbeatable. Just so sick of finding them by the truckload! Don't even get me starting on Vera, Flanagan and Alan do my head in. You can have all their awful records I ever come across! Embassy? what? Woollworths cover versions. Each to their own, the stargazers are interesting, because they were originally contracted to sing for the goons! as in Milligan etc. that symphony orch disc of stars and stripes is incredibly well recorded. broadcast twelve made some great 30s dance band records. Stan Kenton is a bit too late for any wind up machine! layton and johnstone: they're boring, but the songs can be peppy and fun the only mgm discs are like are the very few jazz discs they put out, George Sheering is lovely if you're in that kind of mood!

Well, amazing review/comment on my finds I have to say... No, you say what you feel I much prefer that honesty is better and more interesting... The Embassy's I am told may have some old stars on and maybe interesting so I am told so I am willing to do a special one-off vid on them... Agree about Ambrose but they go on his shelf where I make final decisions on later... Got a Cotton on Rex that I am looking forward to listening to I have to say, but normally I use to bypass them, but I have started to collect them again for a later decision on... Take it you are a UK collector too, so yes I may well come and raid your shed one day... ;) Thanks for the truly great comment... :) Chris...
