We understand you. Jimin always draws you in. He is that kind of guy... his aura is insane, his voice is unique that catches attention, his stage presence is mesmerizing that you can't take your eyes off him, everything about him just captivates. That's the Jimin effect, once you Jim-in you can't Jim-out. He has the most male fans in bts. There's even a funny video "Jimin making guys question their sexuality in 11 minutes ". Face is a no-skip album. Just proud of him for being hands on in writing the lyrics, composing and production of his debut solo album (no collab) and in Korean. Plus it's still breaking records to this day which is over a year of its release already. How cool is that! 😊

In this album Jimin proved to be an excellent singer-songwriter who is not afraid to show his feelings with deep and meaningful lyrics. This is art.

Jimin said that Face was his story written about when he was really lost and depressed during Covid. He was so devastated that they couldn't perform or do anything anymore and so got drunk a lot and just wasn't himself. He recently said that when he told the other members he was so lost during that time they were like "We know. We just didn't say anything because we knew you needed to work through it yourself". Creating Face was healing for him and we got some amazing (yet heartbreaking) songs out of it!

This album is one of my favorite albums in every genre. I love the fact that it’s a connected piece of art, its so vulnerable and it’s practically a pages of Jimin’s diary in order

Don’t forget to listen to his hidden track called Letter. There is a performance video but I am not sure if there’s ENG subs. If there isn’t, just maybe a lyric video and than watch the performance bc hes so pretty and looks like a fairy 🥹💜

Face was written by Jimin about his feelings during the pandemic! The isolation and loneliness and pain he felt from not being able to be on stage which is the part of his job he feels most love for. Face off starts with carnival/ clown like music to indicate how he felt like a fool trusting that person, Interlude dive refers to Jimin thinking about his days on the stage and then going home and drinking to cope with the pain leading into Like Crazy which leads into Alone with the alarm going off after his night of drinking making him feel bad about himself. It does say "lie lie lie" on Alone after the "it's going to be alright" line referring to Jimin's internal voice telling him no it won't be okay when he tries to convince himself it will be. Set me free pt2 is about Jimin setting himself free from that cycle and the aggressive and auto tuned effects are supposed to represent the different parts of his brain telling him different things and darker thoughts. It's such a masterpiece in terms of storytelling.

Jimin's father felt so sad when he first heard the album and then we all found out why, it was a hard time for him, but it's good that he was able to externalize it and move on.

"We're in a car - ah, that's Jimin driving away with my heart" killed me, I'm on the floor, send help. Oh, Sweet Jimin, the things you do to people! We're all spellbound by the man's talent, charm and character, not to mention his beauty, inside and out. Borahae, Jimin-ah. PS: You are the coolest reactor - you like Depeche Mode, obviously a man of taste and distinction! 😉😁 BTW, there was another "hidden" track at the end of this album called "Letter", it was a very direct and important message to ARMY, after the emotional dissection of his COVID era depression in this album.

The "lie lie lie lie lie lie lie~" in 'alone' is a response to the line right before which says "it's gonna ve alright"... so yeah it was intended to be "lie"!

I think it's meant to be a refrain of "lie" in Alone, especially since Jimin's first solo song was Lie off of BTS's Wings album. I believe it's a reference and continuation of the themes he sings about in that song. He also references Lie's choreography when he's lifted up by the other dancers in Set Me Free pt.2, so it seems intentional. Also, you missed the hidden track Letter (alternately translated as "Dear Army") off of Face! It was only on the physical version of the EP, but it's so good! I hope you'll react to it at some point. There's also a performance Jimin did of it uploaded to youtube for last year's Festa.

FACE is by far my favorite solo album from the BTS members. It’s all Jimin and is so personal. The way each track connects and flows into the other is genius. The emotional vulnerability he expresses is so honest and relatable. Then add his creativity musically and of course his VOICE!! Pure heaven and so versatile! He always delivers something new and uniquely him, I am seated for whatever he decides to do next!

Jimin's solo work is so diverse and yet also so Jimin. He really embraces various genres and experiments. I listen to This Is Jimin playlist on Spotify every day. You have to listen to Letter. It's the hidden track, and I am sure you will love it. His vocals are so beautiful.

I live in Scotland, I only discovered BTS last Year when I was 66yrs old, now 67yrs. Because of a colleague seeing I watched KDRAMAS, pointed me towards BTS, male train driver, said it was his daughters obsession, yeah ok I believe you 😂 Last year I fell on my train and broke my shoulder, 12wks off work. So I decided to look into BTS, my god, down the rabbit hole and I've never been happier in my life. Always regret so so many things in my life, but these guys and their messages help me heal. LOVE THEM SO MUCH 🎉

Regarding Face: Jimin once said that he lost friends when BTS became famous. He also said that he cuts off any friends who diss BTS. I think the members in general became disillusioned with false friends. And Jin has said that most people feel uncomfortable around them because of their fame.

On the physical album, Like Crazy (English Version) is 10 minutes long because at 6:13 a hidden song called Letter plays. There is a live version they released on KZfaq last year for Festa but it doesn't have english lyrics (his voice in it is beautiful though). It's a really lovely fan song (with Jungkook's background vocals) so it might be worth watching a lyric video. p.s. It's a different vibe but j-hope's Jack in the Box was a fantastic album and is definitely worth a listen in my opinion.

So excited for this video! Face is a genuine masterpiece. Also I think it would be cool if you reacted to the behind the scenes of the busan concert as you've already watched the run bts and mic drop performances of the busan concert on your channel. So it would be interesting for you to see how they prepare for these kind of performances. It's a BTS Episode on bangtanTV called "Yet to Come" in Busan.

Like Crazy was my no1 in Spotify wrapped. Voice effect in Set Me Free pt2 is like dialogue with your inner self. It reminded me of Suga song Shadow. He used effect too to show his battle with his his inner self. Also since Face is Jimin feelings about he felt through pandemic & the way he is a target for haters, effect makes sense to show Jimin stance & that he's finally free to be himself. Love SMFPT2 love effect. This is my power walk song.

Yes, I that “lie lie lie…” is an inner monologue directly contradicting the outwardly expressed “it’s going to be okay” sentiment. The inner monologue struggle between what is real/externally projected and what his mind wants him to believe goes back to his first solo track in BTS called Lie (Gorgeous! To be honest, it resonated so much I ugly cried the first few listens). The vocal choices in Set Me Free pt 2 also convey that inner fear/self doubt monologue that he feels has held him back, and the lift in the choreography also echoes one in his Lie choreography. I think a lot of people can relate to the feelings he expressed in this album, particularly during and after the pandemic.

The best thing was watching the production process of this album. Jimin is very unique. My top 3 of Jimin's solos are: 1st Lie, 2nd Set me free and 3rd Filter. "Lie" will forever be my favorite solo, I believe.

I literally don't know about other groups especially the ones you mentioned so i can't help there. Jimin was my most listen to artist last year if that tell you anything about how much i love this album however genuinely all the BTS albums and all the members albums are 1000000000000% gold and you should listen to every single one of them.

Korean friends introduced me to music from SK back in 2006. Yim Jae Bum (great husky voice!), Se7ven, g.o.d, Big Mama, Lena Park, Kim Bum Soo, Wheesung. I later discovered a few more on my own, like Ailee. The show Immortal Songs is a good place to find music in Korean across different genres. The concept is to interpret songs that are part of pop culture and compete for first place. One episode was dedicated to Michael Bolton who's really popular in SK. He was there to listen and give feedback. The show has been around for years and the performances are top notch! Killing Voice showcases singers and groups in a minimalist setting. You get to hear them for about half an hour. It's an amazing way to discover veteran singers/groups, some of which are no longer active You need to check you Mona Lisa performed by Kim Bada and Seo Moontak. Kim Bada was a member of Sinawe (some of their stuff is 80s Hair Metal!). You also find some rock performances if you go back to Fantastic Duo (a competition show where amateurs compete to sing a duet with their fave singer/group). Some of the clips have millions of views!

The album expresses Jimin's fears and loneliness during covid lockdown. The group had to cancel their most ambitious stadium concert tour because of it. If you notice there's a lot of drinking mentioned because he got to getting drunk.

For Like Crazy he’s sprinkled his jimin special fairy-dust stardust glitter in this & makes me feel heartache nostalgia with dreamscapes vibes almost Also, regarding autotune, I’ve noticed that BTS usually use it to add some sort of effect to their songs In set me free pt 2, i think the autotune adds more aggression to his voice, as the lyrics move towards it as well & i personally like it

I remember when Jimin’s set me free came out. There was a lot of criticism for his use of autotune and that megaphone effect. But I agree with you - it was creative license so to speak. He intentionally used those effects to emphasize words, feelings or mood. The naysayers said it was proof he can’t really sing. Are you kidding me?! You might not like his counter-tenor range (buts it’s why he can harmonize so well with V’s baritone) and angelic sound but he has quite an instrument in that voice. So much feeling gets conveyed. I’m so glad you favor Jimin as you do. He has a magic hold on many of us and gives truth to the saying once you Jim-in you can’t Jim-out. 💜😍❤
