I’ve always been a huge fan of your recipes, I appreciate that you focus more on technique than ingredients. I made this with Rubs that I had on hand, a homemade BBQ sauce added to the Dr Pepper. The results were spectacular.

Another winner Chef....Thanks for sharing recipe and technique! As a brewer, I know that the recipe by itself is only part of the magic. Showing us your technique and process brings the dish home. Plenty of room for adjusting for taste, the important part is the technique to get the result. So good!

I need to pick up my Yoder, then this will be one of the first things I make. We have been living in a hotel for most of the year, and not being able to bbq has been the worst. We finally move into our new house next week, and my new Yoder has its own home on the back patio. Can’t hardly wait.

First time viewer here at ATBQ. These looked so good I had to try em on my Memphis Pellet grill today. I've tried all sorts of recipes and methods from books, KZfaq, and the interwebs. This is without a doubt the best rib cook ever for me. Hell, they are amazing even before that final saucing. This guy is the real deal, but I suspect you regular viewers already know that. Anyway, if you are lucky enough to be seeing this video you owe it to yourself to try this recipe

Love the videos! For a novice bbq’r they are great! I wish you would give us a temperature reading through out the cook to help us beginners along. You do a great job of explaining what to look for but a temp reading would help reassure the novice bbq’r that they are headed in the right direction. Keep the videos coming!

Only minor criticism... should have rotated them as there is obvious hot spots. Probably 1x each hour (total 4). Also spritze twice after hour 2. Lastly, need to caramelize that glaze on a much hotter surface!!!! On a side note, I'm sure they were delicious. Only commenting bc I know you're a professional perfectionist.

Thanks for the good vibes Kris. If you've never taken a look at the Yoder Smoker Pellet Cooker, it'd be worth your attention - it's not even close to average pellet cooker... its the real deal: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h9WTfc17u9rYloE.html. But if traditional wood pits are more your jam, Yoder Smokers dominates there as well: www.atbbq.com/grills-and-smokers/offset.html. Thanks for watching!

Those look great. 4 hours for the initial smoke at 275 seems really long. I did spareribs over the weekend and did 2.5 hours at 275 before wrapping. I was following Heath Riles suggested time. Yours did not seem overdone (falling apart) at 4 hours, so I am a bit confused.

First BBQ video I see with Dr Pepper flavoring. For that I am going to share a long time secret that I randomly found out. Call them best sauted onions or secret onions for people I serve them to or just sneak them onto burgers. Dr Pepper grilled onions... throw some in when cooking them off in the pan. Seriously amazing!!

I'd love to see you shout a passing hobo, stick a rack of ribs in front of him and let him do the taste test. Every time I see a cooking vid where the cook judges the food... I dunno, it doesn't feel right and you could totally add a random act of kindness to the end of a vid once in a while. You'll bbq a lot of hearts that way. ...*WARM! I meant "WARM a lot of hearts". Sorry, got bbq on the brain.
